As Inauguration Day approaches, the leftist media, the Democrats, and the moonbats that make up the nation's academic class are well and truly melting, as surely as the wicked witch of the Wizard of Oz melted when Dorothy tossed some water on her. So thoroughly, deeply convinced of their own superiority in all things political, legal, cultural, gender, and all branches of learning that they have created their own parallel universe in which Trump could not possibly have won, everyone loves Obama and Obamacare, the economy is booming, unemployment is low, humans are destroying the planet with global warming, global cooling, climate change, and/or bad weather, and Hillary was a shoe-in to win the 2016 election. They actually believed, without a shred of actual evidence, that Hillary Clinton was qualified to be President even though her record is one of incompetence, poor judgment, corruption and failure. They have been bamboozled for so long that they have lost the ability to see reality. They want no part of it because in their parallel universe these things cannot possibly be true.
As Carl Sagan wrote in 1995, in The Demon-haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark:
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”
So completely captured by the bamboozle, once-reputable news outlets eagerly publish fake news if they think it will hurt Trump.

Once the purge begins of Obama commissars and acolytes from the security agencies such as CIA, the regulations voided, and policies changed the real howling will begin. CIA Director and others must be held accountable for their crude attempt to delegitimize the Trump victory and their unprecedented efforts to prevent him from taking office.

More than ever I am convinced that one of the most pressing things Team Trump must do, perhaps second only to securing the border, is to drain the swamp and thoroughly purge the federal bureaucracy. This will take years, but so totally corrupt and wicked are these people that they must be weeded out for the sake of the nation.
These people have been so bamboozled that they have convinced themselves that anything they do, legal or not, violent or not, is justified. They are a threat to our nation.
Witness the unprecedented security concerns over Trump’s inauguration. This is primarily due to the fact that the Soros, Clinton, Obama, and the Left have so deliberately whipped up the crazies that there is a very real security threat.
It is time to weed these people out and shut them down otherwise there is a very real risk of growing national unrest with the possibility of many lives lost.

I don’t know why the left keeps setting themselves up for failure. They were confident Trump would lose...then confident the electors would defect...then confident congress would somehow invalidate the electors...now they are patting themselves on the back about how poorly attended the inauguration will be - only it won’t be poorly attended, and they’ll be disappointed all over again.

When I made the move from voting 'rat to voting R(INO) in 1994, it was because I made the conscious decision to sift all the facts and reject what was not true or did not work. I was excited that I had voted for a winner in Bill Clinton in 1992. By 1994, he and the rest of the 'rats were dead to me. I had obviously decided to stop letting myself be as the author says - bamboozled by the 'rats and media. It's simple really.
