'A List' Celebrities Perform I Will Survive Ahead of Trump Inauguration (precious snowflakes!)

I have not watched the video, and I choose not to in the future. All I can say in response to their selfish worries about their survival, is that many of us have spent the last eight years wondering whether The Republic could survive the Obama Presidency. Frankly, with the shenanigans that went on in the last few months with the Comey, the CIA, and the Justice Department trying to get Hillary elected, we barely made it. Thank you, God, for granting us a reprieve.

I don’t really like the ‘snowflake’ designation. A single snowflake is both delicate and harmless.

And I don’t think these celebrities are harmless at all. I’m quite sure they would prefer to have their boot on my neck. Maybe pajama boy is harmless enough to be a snowflake, but these celebrities have money to throw at campaigns, and (unfortunately) can influence people’s opinions. They’re more like a starving rabid raccoon in a cage.

Years ago I saw an interview with Tom Selleck (be still my heart) and he was asked a question about - I don't know - the "meaning" of his work or something like that. But his answer was so perfect, to wit, "it's not like we're curing cancer in this business."

I had the same thought the other day. We enjoy the older movies on TCM. Anything newer than mid '50's is suspect and has too much angst. MeTV works too, especially Leave it to Beaver and Perry Mason.

It was a parody.

They were poking fun at themselves as much as at anything else.

Boycott them for the videos they did last month and the month before that or for their general attitude if you want to, but if this is what you choose to boycott them for ... I don't know.
