Anti-Trump protests to kick off with Washington civil rights march

A week of protests ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration as U.S. president is set to kick off on Saturday with a civil rights march in Washington by activists angry over the Republican's comments on minority groups including Muslims and Mexicans.

Civil rights leader the Reverend Al Sharpton plans to lead a march along the National Mall ending at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, about two miles (3 km) from the steps of the U.S. Capitol, where Trump will be sworn in as president on Jan. 20.

Trump won his first-ever campaign for elected office with an angry, populist platform that included promises to build a wall along the Mexican border and restrict immigration from Muslim countries, as well as promises to crack down on companies moving jobs out of the United States.

His supporters admire Trump's experience in business, including as a real estate developer and reality television star, and view him as a brash problem-solver likely to break through political logjams.

Trump's controversial comments about immigrants and women, and his vow to repeal the sweeping healthcare reform law that was President Barack Obama's signature domestic policy achievement, has drawn the anger of many on the left, who plan a series of protests.

"The 2017 march will bring all people together to insist on change and accountability," Sharpton said. "Donald Trump and his administration need to hear our voice and our concerns."

Civil rights groups including Sharpton's National Action Network, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the National Council of La Raza, as well as Democratic lawmakers including U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York plan to join the Saturday march.

The worst possible thing one can do to these delusional losers is ignore them. They couldn’t stand it. Do it just like a child having a tantrum.

I believe Limbaugh was interviewing Bill Gertz about his new book today... whoever it was, I heard Rush express complete surprise over the fact that the Soviets had been working hard to influence MLK. Levison and O’Dell being two of their primary tools for that goal.

Sometimes Limbaugh and Hannity astound me with their ignorance, especially when the subject is MLK or some other aspect of the 60s and civil rights. So it’s no surprise that the larger conservative audience that routinely listens to them wouldn’t have the slightest idea about much of what went on then.

It was Bill Gertz (I knew him many years ago. He’s good).

Levison and O’Dell were the “KGB Sandwich” for Dr. King, Jr., just as others were for Albert Einstein and Robert Oppenheimer.

I created the term “KGB sandwich” many years ago to describe how the Soviets got their people into positions of being key aides to influential Americans, thus guiding them to the policies the Kremlin wanted them subliminally to promote.

It is quite possible that FDR was in a similar situation. More on this later. I’ve been working at night with other scholars on documents and reports relating to this, plus what Romerstein, Breindel, Evans, Haynes and Klehr have found in the Soviet archives and US intelligence files.

Stay tuned. The show has only just begun.

The one Life Lesson I follow is never live near or drive down MLK Boulevard, Street or Avenue if you can avoid it.

Levinson was the lawyer. They had hundreds of wire taps on him in phone calls to communists governments. There was direct foreign funding to Michael. Michael was busy chasing skirts ( poor Coretta Scott) or plagiarizing his doctoral dissertation. The media is afraid to utter the truth. The Emperor has no clothes.
