On the basis of which legal theories does this stand?

That’s what I was thinking.

And if your findings say climate change DID exist (which it doesn’t) you just ####ed your entire company.

It’s like McDonalds doing scientific investigations into the health of its food :)

Here's an interesting little item from the article:

However, Exxon didn't immediately signal whether it's going to comply with the order.

ExxonMobil is fighting the entire case in Federal court, claiming that the Massachusetts AG doesn't have any jurisdiction to make these demands.

The other part of this story is that ExxonMobil has filed their own subpoena (in the Federal court case) against the Mass. AG, which included a demand (upheld by a Federal judge, the last I heard) that she drag her @ss down to Texas and sit for a deposition. This has caused quite a few ripples across the entire legal profession.

Why don’t they ask the administrators at East Anglia University for all the research?

They can see all the emails that PROVE collusion between the climate hoaxers and government officials.

Maura Healey fancies herself a bit of a dictator, doesn’t she?

"The ruling came on the same day that longtime Exxon boss Rex Tillerson was being grilled by Congress about the company's climate change tactics at his secretary of state hearing."

Coincidence? Yeah, and unicorn farts will make us immortal.

This is all drama. What would EXXONMOBIL’s research indicate that globull alarmists haven’t been studying for the same amount of time?

4 decades of climate change research????

Al Gore invented the term ‘Global Warming’ in 2006, and term ‘Climate Change’ came about because ‘Global Warming’ kept being discredited. Before that, Global Warming/Climate Change wasn’t even considered a serious issue and frankly, it still shouldn’t be considered a serious issue.

It is nothing more than conjecture, conjuring and prediction. Your local astrologer could tell you more about your future than Al Gore can and they’ll likely be more correct.

In November 2009, an anonymous whistleblower put over 1000 emails comprising to and from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) on an obscure Russian website. They were subsequently rapidly disseminated around the world.

These emails show a tightly knit cabal of scientists adjusting temperature data to conform to their political agenda; exerting pressure to censor publications going into the “peer reviewed” literature (usually with complete success); bullying journalists with threats of excommunication so that what was published in the mainstream media was in accordance with the global warming agenda; and using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as the primary vehicle for their political ambitions.

Didn’t Healey work in the same office as the judge?

What a coincidence!

A judge orders a private company to turn over what they may or may not have researched with their own money for the prior 40 years? I sure wouldn’t want that judge interpreting law?!

When oil is distilled into its various fractional products, there are some emissions in the process. In order to comply with EPA and state-level regulations, some measurements and analysis must be performed.

There is also ongoing emissions research of formulations that burn in vehicles.

It is fairly straightforward to presume that Exxon is not doing a broad global study of atmospheric conditions based on their refinery operations and studies of their fuel formulations.

Unfortunately, the data they have on file will serve up a witch hunt of spin to the eco-nazis who will take any of Exxon’s study data and turn it into a vast conspiracy.

I am assured that petroleum engineers everywhere would vouch for Exxon’s engineers but they won’t be allowed to speak nor will they be given any voice in the national news media.

The surefire way to counter this witch hunt is to file a class action against eco orgs, state, local government and federal agencies for fraud; basically fight fire with fire. Get all the discovery out their in the public eye and let social media beat down the national news media and their minions.

Why would any company do climate change research?

I wonder if that is what it actually was, or of someone is just describing it as such.

Its a good thing there are no other problems in MA. You know, like the Herion epidemic. Of the high unemployment in the urban centers.

It is good that she can go after XOM, because everything is honky-dory.

They were looking for a good logical debunking of it, not realizing as they did so that it is an emotional belief, immune to logic.

Exxon should tell this Massachusetts Maoist to go fornicate herself.

Indeed. How the hell can she do this?

Someone that’s got the skills and consistency should be keeping a record of every activist, every wakademic, every lawyer, every judge and every politician who’ve gotten onto the climate fraud bandwagon.

There’ll be a day when retribution is required. It’d be nice if the proper heads were collected.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is a lying, corrupt weasel.

No, let me take that back - that statement does a disservice to lying, corrupt weasels.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is a lying, corrupt Democrat - which is even lower than a lying, corrupt weasel.
