Simply, I believe she was confident HRC would win.

To liberals, what has happened is an aberration. It was absolutely inconceivable to them that they would ever lose the presidency...much less to Trump.

Can we expect all those who said filling a Court vacancy under Obama was top priority to hold the same views now?

No. Watch for the filibuster.

Couldn’t agree more. Attack while they’re off balance.

I don’t think Trump wants to give them the optics of a victory, as hollow as it may be.

He should go Atilla the Hun on them.

Make that multi-tasking - he'll crank out more work before the sun comes up than they can all day. The dems and their PR arm, the enemedia, will run themselves crazy trying to keep up.

I remember the nightmare that was Obama’s first 90 days.
I hope Trump rams everything down Congress’s throat in 30 days.

1. Wall
2. Immigration (Huge vetting and halting of most)
3. Israel
4. Taxes (reductions)
5. Welfare (major reductions or eliminations)
6. SCJ nomination
7. NAFTA (Rip it up)
8. Military (blow that budget out of the water)
9. EPA (declare it unconstitutional)
10. ATF (Major reductions or eliminate)

And so on and so on.

"Why she did not retire in time for Obama to replace her
with a strong liberal is a question I would like an answer to."

Two reasons:

1) She likes being a judge on the Supreme Court.
2) She doesn't like Obama and therefore doesn't want
him selecting her replacement.

I am of the opinion that he should turn the tables on the press conference format.

1) Provide the opportunity for the public to submit questions
2) Provide the opportunity for the press to submit questions
3) Into this mix, and their own questions (for information that they want to get out)

Have a cut off time for the questions, then organize the questions so that a question is worded so that it covers as many of the topics as possible. For example, one question might be about the timing of next day’s meetings, another might ask about schedule, a third where will he be, etc. This could be consolidated into one question.

Then PRIOR to the press conference, identify the questions to take and the response to those questions. Organize them in the order the administration wants. Publish the answers on a web page within min of the press conference. I.e talk directly to the people without the press filtering the message.

Then at the press conference, read the question, identify if it came from the press pool, the people or the administration. If it came from the press pool identify how many agencies submitted similar questions. Then read the response to that question. Move on to the next question. Once the list of questions has been read along with their responses, open the floor to FOLLOW ON questions. Anyone who asks a question outside of those that have been read, is told that question is beyond the scope of this press conference, and move on to someone else. If they become an ass like the CNN reporter was, invite them to leave and revoke their credentials. Hold up the issue of any credentials to that news organization for 30 days.

Love it.

The hostile press gaggle is firing squad.

Don’t take it.

No. Nor Michelle either. She would have come up with her own candidate.

She’s too old, at 67. We need someone in their early 40s.

IF they filibuster, then the Republicans should hold them to a REAL filibuster. One speaker, in his or her depends, reading Dr. Seuss and the phone book. Until they can’t stand any further, and nobody is allowed to take over for them. Period.

What they should do and what they will do are generally two different things.

Why would you want a justice on the Supreme Court who will ignore our Constitution when doing so benefits himself?
