I don’t see that in the linked McClatchy piece.

It was in a link inside the story. Towards the bottom it talks about possible public sources of the fairy tale “intel report”.

This is about to be the biggest scandal involving the mainstream media (MSM) since the Rathergate scandal 12 years ago. And it could result in BuzzFeed being shut down and CNN possibly firing President Jeff Zucker. Ouch.

Yep. Rush was all over the obvious similiarities today. Except this one involves the USG and a sitting US Senator.

Agree! And then someone in an intelligence agency leaked it.

No, this is recycled garbage from the campaign. Some gave it to the Obama admin and they may have put it in an intel report as an F.U. to Trump. Even that is disputed right now. The media has been getting it from political operatives and not the Obama admin.

This scandal could result in:

1. BuzzFeed being shut down.
2. CNN President Jeff Zucker stepping down under pressure.
3. Several managers at Comcast's NBC Universal division stepping down (NBC Universal owns part of BuzzFeed).
4. A number of people in intelligence agencies going to jail.
5. Senator John McCain being forced to retire early.

I agree this is old info that was finally leaked. But, our intelligence agencies were involved. Trump even discussed this during the press conference today.

The “intel report” was cribbed from public info.

Here you go:

Some of the information in the report is verifiable, and some of it has been widely reported:

Putin replaced one of his top officials rather suddenly, though it was speculated at the time that he was bringing in a younger guard. The 35-page report alleges that Putin displaced several actors in the influence campaign to distance himself from the plot. Sergei Ivanov, a longtime ally who was dismissed in mid-August with little explanation, provided analysis of domestic and international affairs for the president.

It was widely reported that Trump stayed in the Ritz-Carlton during the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow. And Azerbaijan business associate Aras Agalarov, who is named in the report as having knowledge of compromising information about Trump, helped pay for the pageant and had photos made with Trump.

The influence campaign included trips to Russia by former Labor Party candidate Lyndon LaRouche, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and Michael Flynn, Trump’s pick for national security adviser.

The report repeats assertions reported over the summer by Yahoo News that Trump’s Russia adviser Carter Page, a little-known energy investor, had held meetings in July with Igor Sechin, the head of the state oil power Rosneft. Sechin is widely viewed as the second most powerful man in Russia, after Putin, and has ties to Russian intelligence. He is one of the Putin associates under sanction by the U.S. Treasury Department.

If Rathergate were a comet, this would be Eta Carinae.

Gubarev’s lived in Cyprus for quite a while.

The head of that Russian spy ring in Hillary’s heyday that was allowed to escape - fled to Cyprus.
