A former British intelligence officer who prepared a dossier about President-elect Trump’s ties to Russia has been identified, according to a new report.
Christopher Steele created the controversial document about the Russian government’s alleged power over Trump, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
The dossier, which alleges links between Trump's campaign and the Russian government, as well as the existence of compromising Russian-owned material on Trump, created a stir Tuesday. CNN reported that the dossier's contents came up in an intelligence meeting with Trump, and BuzzFeed later published the unverified document — two reports Trump and his staff denounced in a press conference today.

Steele is now a director at a private security and investigations firm in London, according to the Journal.
Steele, 52, is one of two directors at Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd.... Steele also devised a plan for disseminating the document to U.S. and European law enforcement officials, they added, including the FBI....etc.

I am waiting for the transcript on their website, it isn't up yet, but the story goes something like this.
A caller called in claiming he is part of a group who wrote this story on a blog. it was co-written with the goal ( if I have this right ) to get the goat of a GOP guy as his kid is on this site and they knew it would get back to dad.
Said caller says he has his fellow pranksters have got an attorney and will come out with this in a proper fashion with council soon.
I hope I got this 1/2 right, I was half listening and the callers phone kept dropping out.
If this was a deliberate "punk" and McCain ran with it he was pwnd and should resign.

Contrived. If it were real, it would have been released long before now.
I suspect the whole “British spy” angle is pure fantasy tacked onto the story to give it the appearance of credibility.
The chain o’ custody appears to actually be from Wilson to McCain to FBI/CIA.
Is he any relation to Remington Steele?
Also the media did verify that Trump’s lawyer did fly to from Korea to Prague on an Asiana Air..
