Sworn Donald Trump enemy John McCain admitted Wednesday that he passed the dossier of claims of a Russian blackmail plot against the president-elect.
The Arizona senator issued a public statement amid mounting questions of his exact role in the affair - and how a document riddled with errors and unverifiable claims came to be published.
'Late last year, I received sensitive information that has since been made public,' he said.
'Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI.
'That has been the extent of my contact with the FBI or any other government agency regarding this issue.'
But the 2008 Republican loser, who disowned his party's candidate weeks before the election, may have been far more intimately involved than that.
The chain of how the document reached the FBI is not officially known.
However Carl Bernstein, the Watergate reporter who contributed to the first story about its existence, published by CNN on Tuesday afternoon, suggested that McCain was handed it by a former British ambassador to Moscow.

“Who else did you show the ‘dossier’ to, Senator”— just because he gave it to Comey doesn’t mean he didn’t give it to others. “What does Rick Wilson have to do with this?”. Wilson ran Evan McMullin’s campaign. “Did you show it to Senator Graham?” Graham supported McMullin for president.
Didn’t think it was possible for me to have an even lower opinion of Senator McCain. Guess he won’t be invited to Thanksgiving Dinner. at the White House or Trump Tower.
He should have been out in the 80's for being part of the Keating 5. He's an arrogant, egotistical, and nasty man that only stays in office to feed his lust for power. He goes against the GOP and makes deals only for the positive praise the media showers on him. He is no longer the center of power, so I fully expect him to "reach across the aisle" even more than he did in the past.
McCain is a shameless turd. The more I learn about him, the more I despise his presence in the Senate. There is more evidence pointing to McCain being disloyal and treasonous in North Vietnam than there is in any of the allegations against Trump. Yet, McCain stands there and judges, accuses, pontificates. Karma would be waking tomorrow and finding McCain has assumed room temperature.
He will cross the aisle and stay there before ever resigning.

I never said it did, criticize him all you like for his actions as a Senator, I don’t care, but the ridiculous hyperbole that gets spouted around here every time this guy does something, attacking him and calling him names and trying to belittle him military service etc... is just stupid and frankly pitiable.... folks doing it sound like Obama Supporters in ‘08.

If you are going to attack McCain, at least do it with accurate information. McCain had.nothing to do with starting the Forrestal fire. That is an old piece of fake news.

If the enemy wants to release you, they do so. How do you have any say in the matter?
