While Barack Obama delivered his final address as president, celebrities were gushing with heartfelt tributes. Many took to Twitter where record producer Russell Simmons posted a sweet snap of Obama posing for a selfie with two young black boys. He then wrote: 'President Obama, because of you "those brown kids" know that they too can one day be President of the U.S. #ObamaAndKids #ObamaFarewell'
Meanwhile other celebrities wrote about how much they enjoyed the speech, with some pleading for Obama be allowed to stay on in the White House.

Actress Sharon Stone, who was in Chicago to hear Obama's speech, also shared a picture she had taken with the president when he was still a senator.
Actress Kathy Bates posted: 'So grateful to you @POTUS for all you have done for us these last 8 years! Your dignity and strength. God Bless you and your family.'
Fellow actress Kerry Washington, who stars in politician drama Scandal, used Obama's catchphrase and simply tweeted: 'YES WE CAN #obamafarewell'
Rapper NeYo also said: 'I don't want this speech to end. #ObamaFarewell.'
While singer Katy Perry wrote: 'Me right now' with a praying hands emoji.
And even One Direction star Niall Horan, who is Irish tweeted: 'Don't get me started but I'm going to miss the obamas. The nicest family on earth.'
However, some celebrities used their tributes to Obama to also take aim at president-elect Donald Trump.
Author Stephen King posted: 'Hope you enjoyed Obama's speech. You won't hear anything so cogent and kind for a long time. So, with complete sincerity: THANKS, OBAMA.'
Star Trek star George Takei said: 'Watching Obama's final address, and realizing how very, very far we are about to descend. Farewell, O Captain my Captain! Heavens save us.'
Whoopi Goldberg said: 'This is what a REAL victory lap looks like and that only works if you have actually done something to to take a lap for.'
Singer Cher wrote: 'When The President & First Lady Leave the White House …. We Will be The Custodians Of HOPE.'
While Nancy Sinatra simply tweeted a picture of Obama with the caption: 'Thank you, thank you, thank you from my heart, Mr. President. @BarackObama

Most of these actors/actresses are washed up, over-the-hill old fogies it looks to me.
Why don’t we hear from some of the 30-something crowd who actually produces something of value for a living? The men and women who are responsible for not only their own family but the livelihood of their hired help?
It’s mainly the people who don’t really do anything of real value who are shedding tears right now.
