Stars sick of their fellow entertainers' political rants

Not everyone in Hollywood is a fan of Meryl Streep.

Streep is now facing backlash from those in the entertainment industry who feel her anti-Trump speech at Sunday night's Golden Globes was "hypocritical" and out-of-line for a Hollywood star.

Country star Travis Tritt took to Twitter to offer his "advice to all actors."

"Advice to all actors, musicians and entertainers: Please stick to your crafts that we all love you for and drop the political rhetoric," he tweeted.

If you have fans who respect your talent enough to spend hard earned money to see your talent, be thankful and gracious and leave it at that— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) January 9, 2017

Piers Morgan echoed Tritt's words, adding he hasn't "heard such elitist snobbery since Hillary Clinton branded Trump supporters 'a basket of deplorables.'"

I think we should find a way to dump large quantities of whatever Morgan is drinking into the water system in Hollywood. It appears to be effective.

Here’s the three things Meryl has to do.

1. Hit her mark on the floor.
2. Say her lines.
3. Make sure the pay office has the right address to send her check to.

Actually, we conservatives in Northern California should seriously consider taking a drive to Tracy with a full bladder and all take a big pee into the California Aqueduct.

As long as Piers stays off the subject of guns, he’s ok.

I do not want to hear what any actor/singer/pastor thinks about political folks. I watch Football for entertainment not their damn lazy ass excuses why they don't want to stand up for the National Anthem or lords prayer, etc.....just do what I Pay YOU for....keep your ideology to yourself.

Piers has kind of been on a roll since our election. I wonder what has gotten into him?

PIERS MORGAN INSIGHTFULLY OBSERVED: “Streep began her laceration of Pres Trump by saying that Hollywood, foreigners, and the press, are ‘the most vilified segments of American society' today. At which point, the cameras panned out to hundreds of the richest, most privileged people in American society in their $10,000 tuxedos and $20,000 designer dresses, loudly cheering this acknowledgement of their 'dreadful victimhood.'

Just goes to show..... liberals are never more jubilant than when they're in the "consecrated state of victimhood." It's the only time liberals feel really good about themselves....when they think they're victims.

Just imagine the celebration after Streep informed plain old Americans like us that THEY....the Hollyood luminaries.... are the real victims.

I can almost hear the champagne corks pop at their victimhood celebrations.....held in 20 million dollar beach cottages in Malibu.

Or, as Spencer Tracy said “remember your lines and try not to bump into the furniture”.

It’s like nobody learned from the Dixie Chicks.

The problem for entertainers is that no matter what their opinion, they are going to tick off enough people that it will affect their income and popularity, and have no impact other than that.

i.e. it is an entertainers intelligence test. She failed.

I think he’s a Brexiteer and that woke him up to his own snobbery directed at Americans and America. He finally understands what it is to be put upon by distant authorities who know better than you how you should live your life. Better late than never, I guess. I doubt he’s fully reformed so expect a relapse. A lifetime of behavior doesn’t change overnight.

“Even better! And a much more colorful solution.”

As a youth in the 1960’s I always looked forward to visiting relatives who lived in Los Angeles. Yeah, it was smoggy, but it was a nice place to visit. We even considered moving there for a job change in the 1970’s and we are sure as hell we saw the handwriting on the wall and stayed in NorCal. Because now, I wouldn’t venture into most of the LA Basin, as it has become this state’s answer to Mexico City. It is a sewer, and given a little more time the caudillos will invade Hollywood and the rest of the areas where the “celebrities” live, and they will be lucky if they get out alive. Hopefully, they won’t.

It’s positively elitist and irresponsible for ‘stars’ to use their celebrity status and their name recognition to spew THEIR political views on national TV, etc….all with the summary assumption that anyone thinking otherwise was not entitled to object or to even have differing views

Why? Well-I’ll tell y’a.

Here where I work, if I shot off MY mouth about MY views, I would be out of a job so fast it would make my head spin.

I am at a University where EVERYONE is Liberal. In NO way do I enjoy the kind or extent of freedom to say and think whatever I want, the way these ‘stars’ do. I have to be quiet, I have to be responsible, I have to be ‘tolerant’, I have to roll over and play dead!!! My views would not be tolerated! I am certain that I am not unique in this

AND I couldn’t have a Trump yard sign or a bumper sticker without a certainty that my home or car would not be vandalized. Is THAT fair?

Think about this a minute! How much MORE significant is it that Trump won the Presidency in THAT kind of a national political environment? The MSM and all those highly visible, Liberal idiots who so freely threw their weight around (out of all proportion to their actual numbers) thought they had it all squelched and were going to win in a landslide.

Like a crowd of crude Nazi blackshirts, they intimidated everyone into shutting-up about any opposing views … AS IF that meant there WERE NO opposing views. Celebs, the MSM and all the other loudmouth Liberal cretins bullied the opposition unmercifully to con themselves into a false sense of security … and they got what they deserved!

The moniker "Country Stars" that Big Music Execs use to describe the people that lip sync the crappy canned music coming out of Nashville these days is wrong on both counts.

They are neither Country or Stars.

“i.e. it is an entertainers intelligence test. She failed.”

Nearly all of them do, because they are basically stupid people intellectually who have the mistaken idea that their money and “celebrity” make them smart.
