The main point should be that her entire beef was based on a demonstrated falsehood. Trump used the same mannerism to mock Cruz, Hillary, and himself among others when showing a groveling defensiveness. He even did it to Cruz in that very same speech.

Tucker and Ingraham still too far in the mainstream GOP media to even know or point it out.

It’s actually Laura blaring with that loud, nasal voice of hers. I didn’t find anything she said interesting - especially when she made some inane remark about Laurence Olivier.

Part of the problem with this is that people like Laura actually go to the movies - because they’re invited and get to stand on the red carpet - and the general public does not because the movies say nothing to them and no one wants to sit next to a guy eating a huge, greasy cheese taco with a tipsy gallon of Pepsi.

Streep said we are deplorable MMA / NFL watching fools.

Hillary said similar.

The election is over. How dare they persist in a non political event?

It’s stealing, whether a rant or taking a knee or raining your arms over your head. You have hijacked an event for personal gain.

We will stop watching.

Well that's a bizarre gratuitous ad hominem attack. Why not criticize her for wearing an Alabama football jersey as well? As a hetero man I find her voice (and her physical appearance) very attractive, distinctive, and feminine. Her point about Olivier was to simply to use a quote by the best actor ever to make the point that actors are only actors. In addition to all that, Ingraham is so smart and witty she's a true American treasure.

Very disappointed in Tucker. As his 1st guest on his 1st show....Glenn Beck??? Unwatchable.

Actors are generally a pretty ignorant lot.

Yeah, but it was on Tucker to miss correcting Streep and the record. That was a big fastball down the middle that he wiffed on.

I think both Laura and Tucker were good. They made many relevant criticisms of Streep — particularly the point that she was “sermonizing” and “moralizing” at an awards show, of all places. The lead in interview with Glenn Beck was a bit out of place. However, it exemplified how truly confused and strange Beck really is.

Personally, I want people like Meryl Streep to keep this BS up. Their shtick just helps further our cause.

They weren’t good because they didn’t even address the central accusation of Streep’s speech: the false claim that Trump had mocked a man’s disability.

Well, that’s YOUR opinion. I think Laura’s annoying. And I didn’t even understand what point she was making about Olivier or that odd probably highly inaccurate quote. And I have at least two books about Olivier on the subject of acting. To quote Spencer Tracy, the actual greatest film actor, we should look to John Wilkes Booth when we think of actors involved in politics.

LOL, good one. Okay, your quote is way better, but completely out of bounds in any public forum, especially TV.
