At one point in President Obama's interview with ABC News that aired over the weekend, George Stephanopoulos noted that "the Democratic Party got pretty hollowed out on your watch, about 1,000 seats lost in the Congress, Senate, governors, state houses." Then he asked: "Is that on you?"
It was a good question. Since Obama took office, Democrats' fortunes have plummeted. The party lost 900 seats in state legislatures, 12 governorships, 69 House seats and 13 Senate seats.
Clearly, whatever leadership Obama provided, it wasn't helping Democrats connect with voters across the country.
So what was Obama's response?
At first, he tried — and we're not making this up — to blame President Bush.

Obama’s legacy is an almost complete destruction of the Democrat party by Obnama and his “in your face” leftists.

He can make all the excuses he wants, but I think deep down he knows he was the one at fault. He knows his legacy is trash and it is due to him. LOL.

In their unfounded adulation of a “rock star”, the Democrats willfully blinded themselves to the dangers of “hero worship”.
No man is beyond criticism, no matter what the optics that criticism may bring.
There was only a finite amount of oxygen in the room. And the Current Occupant breathed it all up.
The logical successors were left strangling and lethargic, unable to mount any effort to revive themselves.
