Senate Democrats are poised to throw away 20 years of friendship and a bipartisan working relationship with Sen. Jeff Sessions to wreak political vengeance on him this week as they consider his nomination for attorney general.
Highlighting the deep partisan divide and the bad blood between Democratic lawmakers and President-elect Donald Trump, the same senators who have socialized and co-authored reams of legislation with Mr. Sessions are under pressure from liberal interest groups to air accusations that he is a racist, a sexist and a homophobe.
Mr. Sessions, who has held an Alabama seat in the Senate since 1997 and has served as the state’s attorney general and as a U.S. attorney, is expected to win confirmation from his colleagues, including support from several Democrats. But it won’t be pretty.
Heading into two days of confirmation hearings that begin Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he serves as a member, liberal activist groups have gone so far as to label him a “white supremacist,” and his Democratic colleagues have expressed doubt about his ability to enforce the law without prejudice.

Interesting fact they mentioned this morning: Jeff Sessions’ original judgeship was torpedoed by none other than Ted Kennedy. The tactics of personal destruction he utilized in that effort was a warm-up act to what old Ted was later going to use for killing the Supreme Court nomination of Robert Bork, and later on Clarence Thomas (those efforts failed).
I bring up the fake Indian with some of my liberal friends and they can’t believe I would question her. They think she is wonderful. I explain what she did and they shrug. Unbelievable to me that someone that does that could show their face anywhere again.
Liberals do stuff like this and apparently it is easy to pull off. Elizabeth Warren, Shaun King and Rachel Dolezal were all running the same scam. I wonder how many other people are doing it that nobody knows about yet.
We make this much to complicated. Senator Session’s supporters can take their time and...item...by...item illustrate how each...and...EVERYONE of the “esteemed colleagues” that has worked with with Senator Sessions over the past 20 years. It will take a little time, but it will nicely set the stage for future “interaction” with the opposition. This should be entertaining. Disclaimer: I am from South Carolina, but, I, nor anyone in my family, nor anybody under my persuasion has every supported Linda. What a piece of crap.
