FBI seized Ft. Lauderdale shooter's gun after he told them the CIA was making him fight for ISIS

The Iraq war veteran accused of killing five travelers and wounding six others at a busy international airport in Florida was charged Saturday and could face the death penalty if convicted.

Esteban Santiago, 26, told investigators that he planned the attack, buying a one-way ticket to the Fort Lauderdale airport, a federal complaint said. Authorities don't know why he chose his target and have not ruled out terrorism.

The more I read about this the more I shake my head.

If the Geller report and Getnews work is in fact as true as it reads this guy had been involved with radical islam since 2007. Putting aside the FBI returning his gun with such a past available if they did the research (please tell me that they found his name Aashiq Hammad and knew his past).

Lets just look at the TSA. How many redflags do you need?

One way ticket No checked luggage EXCEPT his handgun No carryon bag (if Daily Mail article is correct, you never know with them)

Just unbelievable that he was allowed to board the plane.

This is nonsense. I don’t believe for a second he’s crazy. It’s his schtik.

My crazy theory: his entire plan was to undermine the ability of Americans to bring firearms in their luggage.

Maybe there was a greater goal for Santiago. Perhaps this is another case of “weaponizing the mentally ill”. Maybe when he told the FBI that U.S. intelligence people were forcing him to watch ISIS videos, it was TRUE!

As in Creamer tactics — find mentally unstable people, rev them up- or hypnotize them -or psychologically work on them to incite violence and mayhem. Maybe this was a covert intelligence operation (maybe one of many ongoing) to get someone to go to Florida or NY and target Trump. Santiago only got the Florida part right. Wonder if he had a rental car reserved that was never claimed or some other means of transportation.

It has the makings of a good conspiracy theory. Unfortunately, some stuff people call conspiracy theories have been turning out to be true.

How come these mentally ill don’t want to wrestle monkeys or pluck every flower in Central Park?

For punishment, just drop him out of a plane at 10,000 feet without a parachute. If he can fly, he is free.

For added punishment, take him to 20,000 feet so he has longer to think about hitting the ground.

Maybe TSA air police should have the authority to just shove them out of the plane.</s>

He could have easily said that he was relocating from Alaska, which isn’t far fetched from that state.

Rank incompetence.

If President Trump were to gut the entire FedGuv on Day 1, and not replace anything, I daresay we US citizens would be better off.

Innocent people in civilized societies will continue to be targeted and slaughtered like sacrificial lambs until laws are enacted that will authorize law enforcement to deputize tens of thousands of trained and armed civilians and authorize them to kill anyone, anywhere, or anytime who is observed to be in the process of using deadly force against an unarmed person.

There’s legal crazy. And there’s clinical crazy. Islamists will take either.

Two of Esteban’s siblings are in Florida and another two are in Puerto Rico, Ruiz said. One of his brothers, who was in Naples on vacation at the time of the shooting, had been a police officer in Puerto Rico for about 20 years. Ruiz said she was able to reach him quickly over the phone on Friday.

They keep changing the story around. Now there’s a second sibling in Florida?

And the brother lives permanently, not vacations in Naples. Hmmm

TSA will shove you out of the plane, but first they will fondle you like the Clemson Tigers do.

Thought this myself.

How did he pay for ticket?
When did he book flight?
One-way.
...

All red flags that have gotten me ‘randomly selected’.

If he is insane why wasn’t he licked up?

LESSON LEARNED: Check flight arrivals if you are going to make up a story about an argument with a shooter on Canada Air.

NOTE: Shooting happened at 12:55pm. In Broward County.

Mirror UK:

“Air Canada later tweeted: “We confirm that we have no record of such a passenger by that name, or checked guns, on any of our flights to Fort Lauderdale.”

The airline had two flights landing around midday from Canada but the services from Montreal and Toronto, due at 11.50am and 12.07pm respectively, were listed as delayed until 2pm arrivals.

The airline told Canadian media it held those flights back.”

Weaponizing the mentally ill is probable, especially when you consider what could be gained from it. The two Kennedy assassinations and the King assassination helped the gun control cause enormously. And gun control is a prerequisite to a totalitarian state.
