The Intelligence Community versus Donald Trump
American Thinker ^ | January 8, 2017 | John Dietrich

Posted on 01/08/2017 6:05:30 AM PST by Kaslin

The continuing campaign to discredit President-Elect Trump is increasing in intensity. It is based on allegations that the Russians interfered in the U.S. election. It is suggested that Hillary Clinton would have won the election if the Russians had not interfered. The establishment media echo accounts by the administration's anonymous sources frequently neglecting to include the word "alleged." In spite of their damaged credibility, they have demonstrated that they can still be influential. In addition to anonymous sources, the media are relying on academics and retired intelligence personnel.

The New York Times has reported, "The assessment by American intelligence agencies that the Russian government stole and leaked Clinton campaign emails has been accepted across the political spectrum, with the notable exception of Mr. Trump." Apparently, the Times searched for people who supported Trump, but they were unable to locate them. Trump's critics are everywhere.

Critics of the president-elect have charged him with everything but being a KGB agent. Former acting CIA director Michael Morell claims that Vladimir Putin has "cleverly recruited Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation." Michael V. Hayden, former director of the NSA and CIA, says he prefers the term polezni durak. "That's the useful fool, some naif, manipulated by Moscow, secretly held in contempt, but whose blind support is happily accepted and exploited." Senator Harry Reid wrote to FBI director James Comey, "It has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisers, and the Russian government – a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity." The New York Post quotes a CIA official: "It's pretty horrifying to me that he's siding with Assange over the intelligence agencies."

Good summary of the blather excreting from the MSM and democrats.

The big unanswered question: what did Trump say at his Friday meeting?

Yeah and how did he know eight month before the election that he would be reelected? Don’t you think that is suspicious?

On that, I agree...The entire news media, it seems, has totally gone away from truth and fact...It generates what they and the politicians WANT people to hear...

“It doesn’t matter if Assange, the Russians, or Martians released the e-mails...”

Agree.

Wish FOX would push that point hard. Maybe they will, now that the Queen Beach has defected to NBC.

After Trump is inaugurated he should give the liberals a complete and full accounting of foreign hacking including individuals that used private emails (Obama et al) and private servers (Clinton) to conduct government business...

First of all....
“Senator John McCain called Russia’s hacking “an unprecedented attack on our democracy” and suggested that it would be an act of war had Moscow’s action’s affected the results of the election.”

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, you have been a Senator for how long? We are a representative republic. You need to retire and take Linda with you.

Something (lesks) that had happened probably monthly in the past. Maybe more often. But almost nobody has ever said, “hey that’s a crime.”

Scooter Libby situation may be the only similar instance????

Can’t remember the details.

No doubt I’m missing something, but I have yet to see even a single scintilla of evidence that would indicate this alleged ‘hacking’ even occurred.

But... no, no, no... it certainly couldn’t be a load of obama/democrat crap laid out to discredit Trump.

After all, obama and the democrats wouldn’t try to employ their media tools and Kool Aid drinkers to split the country. Even THEY wouldn’t stoop that low.

Would they?

The intelligence community doesn’t work for the American people. They really never have. They were created by ivy leaguers and bankers and have never strayed from that mindset.

As others have pointed out, did the Russian hack cause:

1) Trump to demand a wall
2) Trump to demand controls on Muslim immigration
3) Trump to demand jobs be brought back here
4) Hillary to NOT campaign in Wisconsin
5) Hillary to also take Pennsylvania and Michigan for granted
6) Hillary to drop like a corpse 2 months before the election.

If the answer is yes to any of them, then blaming Russian hacking may have something to stand on.

The democrats and media cannot admit the average American finally got tired of their crookedness and voted
for a person, they wanted to lead this country. They are
very upset We in the flyover country finally spoke as one voice for a REAL leader. They are talking about the Russian
hackers 24/7 made it possible for Trump to win. They are
following Saul Alinsky, repeat, repeat, repeat until the masses “finally” think their lie is the truth.

Trump tweets truth to power from yesterday

” Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only “ stupid people” or fools would think that is bad! We

have enough problems around the world without yet another. When I am president Russia will respect us far more than they do now... And

both countries will, perhaps, work together to solve some of the great and pressing problems and issues of the WORLD !”

Amen!!

Having this article fresh in my mind http://harpers.org/archive/2016/12/the-new-red-scare/?single=1

I donned my tinfoil hat and started wondering if possibly the “Military Industrial Complex” (MIC) that Eisenhower warned us about might have embedded “agents” in our intel community to keep the money spigot open in times of peace and slow demand......Thinking back on DJT’s somewhat “odd” tweet about the cost of the new AF-1, I wonder if that was an open warning (shot across the bow with a sling shot so to speak) to the MIC that there is a new Sheriff in town that will be monitoring all “regular expenses”.......We all know there is much fraud and abuse but because its “Military” it doesn't get the attention of either the left or the right in Congress that feed off that same trough.....

Something to keep the tinfoil manufacturers in business for a few of us whacky FReepers if nothing else....Any thoughts??

Simply fire 50-75% or more and hire new talent. Many of us would like a job at the CIA or NSA.

“Bush was “considerate” and did not clean things out. I think that was a very big mistake.”

It was a HUGE MISTAKE. Cleaning out a the garbage of a past Democrat administration, and prosecuting where necessary may be looked at as revenge (as Bush no doubt saw it), but it also SENDS A MESSAGE to the lower-level types that they will NOT get a free ride from prosecution if they break the law in the future.

Hillary and Obama didn’t get away with all their corruption (so far) because they are corrupt, they got away with it because the people below them, THE ENABLERS, saw no risk in implementing their corruption. Nixon’s people didn’t see things that way, and when Nixon tried looked into using the IRS on his enemies, the word got out and there was hell to pay, and when Nixon tried to cover up Watergate, his people worried about their own skins, and cost him the presidency.

Just last year, 5 tech weenies were brought in front of Congress to testify about Hillary’s server. They were SO SURE they had nothing to fear that 4 of them took the 5th, and the remaining person didn’t even show up. It used to be that being called in front of Congress in that kind of situation would scare the crap out of people, but now the lack of prosecutions has gotten so bad, that they knew NOTHING would happen to them - Lynch had their backs, and they were free to give the finger to Congress. In Nixon’s day, they would have spilled the beans.

Perhaps the Russians hacked Podesta’s gmail account as well as the DNC account. We will probably never know the truth.

However, it is important to note that there are no accusations that the Wikileaks releases were doctored in any way. In other words, the truth came out.
