President Obama advocated for more gun control measures in an editorial he wrote for the Harvard Law
Washington Free Beacon ^

In a lengthy essay titled “The President’s Role in Advancing Criminal Justice Reform,” Obama urged the country to “take commonsense steps to reduce gun violence” while celebrating the executive orders he has enacted.

“We also need to do everything we can to keep our children and communities safe from gun violence,” Obama said. “Addressing the country after mass shootings has been one of the most frustrating and disheartening responsibilities of being president–and it’s something I’ve had to do far too often.”

“The names of so many places that should be remembered for their great contributions and strong communities–places like Tucson, Aurora, Newtown, Charleston, and Orlando–still conjure up for me the deep sadness of so much unnecessary violence and loss,” the president continued.

He didn't begin his gun control tear until he was safely reelected in 2012.

Considering how much running on gun control helped Hillary in the Deer Hunter States, I hope that the Democrats run on gun control, forever!

Water is the gateway to all evil. All murderers and psychopaths drink it.

It needs to be banned.

“Logic” of the left.

And when his "common sense [sic]" forcible crime victim disarmament laws don't actually stop crime, the response will be to double-down and say that we need even more "common sense" forcible crime victim disarmament laws. It would never, ever be to admit that perhaps disarming the law-abiding isn't the cure, because the availability of guns isn't actually part of the disease.

Has Barky ever held a critical thought in his little brain about any aspect of the progressive agenda? Ever?

There is a name for those who desire to disarm their fellow citizens,
but it's rather coarse and I'd like to keep posting here so I can't write it.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I read the words “common sense” and “Obama advocates” in the same sentence, my sphincter tightens appreciably. Those two words need to be stricken from the political lexicon, because they are an oxymoron when applied to ANY politician or MSM reporter.

Do you know how I know I woke up in the normal universe, and that all is right with the world?

When I read that Obama is calling for more gun control again.

The world of the Left is populated by hothead idiots with marginal reasoning capability and low impulse control. If those were the only people I saw, day-in-and-day-out, I’d advocate for eliminating guns too. The people I would see on a daily basis would, indeed, turn any campus or coffee house into my Leftard version of the wild west.

On a daily basis, I deal with construction workers and clerks and normal people, many of whom made their own Trump signs. I’d trust the average man/woman among them to carry a gun and to determine when to use it.

Obama needs to start his gun-control experiment in Chicago. That could be his new job: stopping the gun violence in Chicago. He could headquarter out of his presidential library on the South Side.

take common sense steps to reduce gun violence

The continued destruction of the English language.
There is no such thing as “gun violence”, as a gun is an inanimate object. It is not capable of any action on its own. There does exist human beings that use a gun to do violence. Until we decide to act on and treat the human accordingly we will not change anything.

Unnecessary violence that the soon too be former President encouraged in very subtle ways.

If the availability of guns from neighboring states is the problem in Chicago as leftists claim, then why don’t the neighboring states with the lax gun laws have the same high levels of crime?

That is a free question to use for odumbo to any journalist out there.
