"Thats true. Good point." I think the solution to this(and possibly a much better one) is the "Maker" movement. I can foresee a possible future development in education in which all "theory" education (lectures, discussion, etc) take place over the internet (Khan Academy and others), and today's schools are converted into "neighborhood maker spaces" for things that need "hands on" practice (electronics, science labs, "shop", music).
