Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
AWESOME
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable weekend.
Thank you, fatima, for preparing
the Canteen for today's activities.
A quick scan and I see a lot of the songs
I would have chosen, which is good.
I see the weather across country
looks about the same.
Hope everyone is safe and warm
and cosy, this morning.
We are in the "iffy" zone;
some say snow will miss us;
some say 1-2 inches by Saturday eve.
I'm going to practice making donuts,
since this is a cold weekend.
Here's hoping you all have something exciting to read
while you are hunkered down until spring.
Gonna run.
Remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS open
for our Military, Allies, and families.
And, those who support them.
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Hmmm....they are saying that she still has one egg. She’s sitting on the nest, so I can’t see whether she has 2 or not. Anyhow...it’ll be soon if not already!

That is actually a song telling people to shun American Women ... and it took me a very long time to realize that. In fact, it was an interview with Lenny Kravitz when he covered the song that first brought it to my attention. It is attacking American Women for political reasons.
American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman, she gonna mess your mind
I don?t need your war machines
I don?t need your ghetto scenes

It is a moving performance. Most, if not all, people cry at that scene. Plus...consider this. Clowns Do Not have beards....
ONLY The Magnificent Pavarotti Could get away with having a beard.
There was only one Pavarotti.
May he rest in peace.

I loved him in “La Boheme”.
Although he doesn’t LOOK like a “starving artist” he was totally convincing in the role.

Now that was cool!
Usually I don’t like it when an operatic voice sings pop, but he did great! ;-)
