Get serious Cll!!!!! Nobody other than Puerto Ricans wants to make an impoverished, chronically-endebted & culturally foreign island of Spanish-speaking third world peasants with divided loyalties a fifty-first state of permanent left-wing voters & inevitable liberal Democrats! Hello????? When are you finally going to stop advocating for Puerto Rico as a Puerto Rican & become solely, exclusively, eternally American? Ever?? Puerto Rico & other non-English hellholes will never be a good candidate for our union! Stop living in a foreign lala land & deal with OUR reality! :)

Puerto Rico is located at a major maritime crossroads. It should be an economic powerhouse but it’s not. Why?

If you granted PR Independence, there would be nobody left on the island, everyone would flee for the US, before they would lose their US Citizenship.

the dumb sh!ts whined till Vieques was closed then stunned when the Navy closed the AFWTF and pulled out...

their goobanator said we don't want the Navy to leave, just not bomb!

the Navy said without bombing we have no reason to stay

the law of unintended consequences bit the RATS in the azz, again...

now all they want is to get the US to bail them out, screw that

Wife & I spent Christmas week in PR several years ago. We rented a small ocean front house on the NW side of the island.
The area doesn’t see quite as many tourists as San Juan.

Things we saw:
The Aricibo radio telescope.
A fantastic creation, set in a large karst sink hole.

One very big cave, also part of the karst topography on the island’s NW side.

We also observed evidence of chronic drug use.

Very nice beaches.
