“the two-year trial with the 2,000 randomly picked citizens who receive unemployment benefits kicked off Jan. 1. Those chosen will receive 560 euros every month, with no reporting requirements on how they spend it. The amount will be deducted from any benefits they already receive.”
Seems to me they are saying they are going to take money away from the recipient’s welfare gift and give it to them with another name attached to it, to spend any way they want whether it is good for them or not. How is that better or worse other than the government is allowing them a don’t ask don’t tell policy on where it is going?

I’m not sure that’s enough to have a cell phone, cable TV, eat at restaurants every night, have a nice flat in Helsinki and a hot babe for fun. They’ll probably have to double it for that very reason.

Free money per head ... teenagers would skip school, watch tv, bum in the guetto and have 10 children. 10 heads equal 10 times the wealth. It is exponential progression of wealth where nobody works.
You work. I eat.
And I have 20 children each making me free money.

GBI = FAKE FANTASY
You missed the big problem. What is it? Come on now think critically.
Clever naming is fake. GBI, govt ‘guarentees’ nothing!
Quit falling for govt fake answers. Instead, anticipate the bad consequences and act accordingly. Such as, rent poor quality homes to GBI bums.

Yes.
Little incentive to work.
Hunger is a powerful incentive.

Little incentive to work. Hunger is a powerful incentive. Paul to the Christians at Thessalonica:
"In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers,
to keep away from every brother who is idle
and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.
For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example.
We were not idle when we were with you,
nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it.
On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling
so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help,
but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow.
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule:
"If a man will not work, he shall not eat."
2 Thessalonians 3:6-10
