Almost exactly what I was going to post.
Thank you and please do.
So your thief is a back stab first and pick pockets later with +98?
Why certainly!
WBill Jr and I just finished up an adventure where they had to deal with a crazed king who was tormented by a vengeful ghost. (Sound familiar?) "Open Locks, whoever knocks"
Sounds very familiar. Was the king opposed to his kingdom's success?
To shoot any more of 'em that crawl outta the woodwork.
Only days from me being offered a consulting position at the school in Augsberg. No thanks.
Evil hates one thing more than all the rest. It hates the gift of Creation. Evil can only destroy, it can never create. Why do you think Evil would use a failed want-to-be architect to destroy the Twin Towers? Evil envies the ability to create with a terrible hatred.
The Cathedrals of Europe will burn. They could never create such things for their God.
Capture/arrest and so on.
;-)
Pockets don’t move around as much though they are a little colder
Literally, it was a story that just developed on the fly. All of a sudden, I realized that the group was playing out MacBeth. Not by design, just by coincidence. So, I stole a few elements and incorporated them into the story.
Currently, WBill Jr's character has taken some of the new recruits in the fighter's guild out to an abandoned castle and is training them. What he doesn't realize is that he's organizing his own fighting force, and the errant knights (who just deposed the king) probably won't think too kindly of that. Meanwhile, he's forged an interesting alliance with the local clergy (good guys) and also prominent merchants (neutral, mostly self-interested).
"This is getting boring, Dad.", he said. I think he prefers the 1st level, hack and slash through a dungeon, adventures. I suggested that he do a timeline of all the characters he's met, who they are, and how they play into the world we've created. Would be an interesting story, albeit an idea that's been done completely to death.
A new governor in the town, or a new town (the knights come to him and say "This place isn't big enough for the both of us....."), might add a little zip to the adventures. Time to bring in some new characters.
