(CNN) President Barack Obama will deliver his farewell address to the nation on January 10 from his home city of Chicago, the President announced in a statement Monday.
"I'm thinking about them as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you've changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here," Obama wrote.
President Obama said he was following the precedent set by George Washington, who penned a farewell address to the American people over 220 years ago.

I am sorry and don’t want to delve in profanity but how many times is this asshole going to do any ‘final’ anything, especially when it contains crap like “I’m not going anywhere and the sun shall rise and the seas shall part horseshit?”

He’s going to continue his exercise in self glorification for years to come. He is a pathological narcissist and a megalomaniac. He will attempt to act like some sort of president-at-large.
Trump is going to have to come down on this POS big league. The sooner the better.
If he really wants to speak from his “home city”, I’d recommend Nairobi or Jakarta. Those are where he is from culturally, not Chicago or Honolulu.
I dare anyone to take the Obama drinking game in this speech: every reference to the first person singular or plural requires a shot. I, my, we, mine all require a shot.
Then the course of action should be to not only bring Hillary to account for her actions, but also expose and prosecute Obama’s complicity in them. IOW he needs to be charged and tried.
Shouldn’t he do his farewell address in his hometown in Kenya?
The only thing Obama will ever do to change the country for the better is to leave office.
I am glad that there are other people who will view/listen for me.
