I don’t know where you’re getting this, but putting obvious tells into a hacked system isn’t the way its done. Not unless the hackers want the hack detected and foiled.

It is definitely a rouse, and repeated often enough, perhaps a brainwashing of the masses, but is the purpose just to detract attention from the content of the emails or is there something more devious afoot? That’s what I’m trying to research a little bit.
