Obama: I won't leave on Jan 20
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/31/16 6:00 AM | By DANIEL CHAITIN

President Obama used his final weekly address in 2016 to assure Americans that he will remain committed to defending the "progress" made by his administration after handing over the White House to Donald Trump on Jan. 20.

...

While the president initially indicated that he looked forward to a quiet retirement, at a time when many polls showed Democrat Hillary Clinton marching to victory in the presidential election, Obama has said his plans have changed since Trump ran away with the win.

"I promise you that next year Michelle and I are going to be right there with you, and the clouds are going to start parting and the sun is going to come back out, and we're going to be busy, involved in the amazing stuff that we've been doing all these years before," Obama told told supporters in late November. Obama also revealed then that his family plans to stick around Washington, D.C., for a few years while his younger daughter, Sasha, finishes high school.

Touting strides made in expanding health insurance coverage, job creation, bringing troops back to the U.S. from Afghanistan and Iraq, and killing al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Obama said Saturday that the country has "made extraordinary progress as a country these past eight years."

The president said income is rising, poverty is falling and the auto industry is "resurgent." Turning to diplomacy, Obama said, "We shut down Iran's nuclear weapons program, opened up a new chapter with the people of Cuba, and brought nearly 200 nations together around a climate agreement that could save this planet for our kids." He also gave a nod to the 2015 Supreme Court ruling to grant nationwide marriage equality.

He's too frikking lazy. Sure he aint going away but as an organized force? Nah. Without a full team propping him up, like at the Whitehouse, he is going to give into his proclivities far too often. Remember now the prop kids are grown and he's got more money than he's ever had.

Sleeping until noon. Freebasing binges (my belief), homosexual liaisons, etc.

I have the feeling he’ll be leaving (willingly) in a few years to a nice remote non-extradition country for permanent residence....

I’d go further, watch for him to get his own Sunday morning TV show somewhere, and become a regular on several stations (CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC).

I project he’ll stay ~6 months before leaving. He’ll realize no one is listening to him after about a month and 1/2 (it’ll take him at least that long to understand). He can’t leave right away without looking bad after saying this, so he’ll “travel” to “relax” a bit in the following months and then mid summer or so will transition out of DC quietly - if anyone asks he’ll say his “transition work” finally wrapped up.

He will have a lot of help when it comes to sabotaging Donald. He will have the main stream media, the Republican Party, and the Democrat Party. All the help President {it feels good to be able to capitalize President again]Trump will have is We the people. Can he depend on us?

” ... Obama will hang around, be on the tv channels ...”

His tv ratings were abysmal when he spoke as president but he expects to be relevant in retirement? The press will be there though - having lost their WH credentials for their traitorous behavior.

They’re going to attempt a government-in-exile, I guess.

The rats have been talking about a “shadow government”. What color is a shadow anyway? Obozo is a natural.

Obama could become a danger and hindrance to our sitting president. Isn’t it time for the SS to step in or will we have two presidents governing at the same time? How will Congress react?

You can rest assure that the MSM will be even more joined at the hip to Obama doing anything, everything, and continuing to make things up if need be to tear Trump down.

If I were Trump I’d simply remove him and Hillary by sending out the prosecutors and get them locked up. There’s certainly no shortage of charges they can be brought up on with Jeff Sessions as AG

I've seen several safe democrats saying the party needs to swing back toward the center and address the issues affecting middle america.

I'm sure those 'safe' Democrats also couched their comments in the sort of language that is least likely to draw the ire of the leftist majority on their side.

They're obviously trying to reason with their fellows, but their fellows don't respond to reason. It's what makes them liberals. No, that sound advice is falling on deaf ears.

Like the MSM, who are going bankrupt because of their intransigent leftist bent, the Democrat party is headed for oblivion because they refuse to recognize reality and truth.

Some body’s got to tell Jug Ears when he’s out of office no one’s going to give two rips what he thinks or says.

.....................................

He should learn from his dim predecessor, nobody gives a rat’s ass what Jimmy Carter says.

‘Will he [Obama] write another book?’

If Obama writes a book it will be his first. Bill Ayers wrote Dreams From my Father. Some lesser literary light did the heavy lifting on Audacity of Hope (hence the style is clunkier and leaden).

Obama lacks the talent, the experience and the discipline to write a book. If there’s another book, he won’t be the author; he’ll be a contributor.

They will be 100% bypassed by Pres. Trump. Trump will form a small group of employees within each agency that will have any real power and responibilities and the rest of the entire agency will be left out of the loop.

Nothing going to stop those activities now in the privacy of his home. Even USSS will only guard the perimeters. He will age very quickly and have a shortened life expectancy
