(Download Link to entire article) The charter school deception is rooted in the shared beliefs of its founders. Corporate titans like the Walmart-creating Walton family, Bill Gates, and other very wealthy individuals have collectively spent billions seeding and sustaining this movement until states and the federal government passed laws and regulations sanctioning and subsidizing charter schools.

To be fair there are good charter school operators and bad ones. Some pruning and triage needs to be done there.

But the public schools surely need the competition. I was at a council meeting at my church which turned into a union hall scrum at the mere mention of Gates’ name. (unbeknownst to me five members of my church’s council were unionized public school teachers).

It ought to be the taxpayers who control the school boards who in turn educate the children.

Now it’s the state, and the feds.

“(unbeknownst to me five members of my church’s council were unionized public school teachers)”

They don’t require council members to be Christians?

You can’t be a NEA member and be a Christian. It is that simple.

Competition is encouraged even in Communist China. Read Alice Iserbyte’s work (She has been on education for 4 decades)-They traced the “choice” model to commie China. BTW-we already have “competition” within corporate run Houston ISD-I can apply for a magnet school based on Art,medical professions,Law Enforcement (note the push toward career clusters),etc.. I can also apply for a charter school like the Turkish Gulen chain called Harmony with their schtick being Science, Math,Technology (that they are Islamic-associated is no PROBLEM), or I may wish to send my child to an Arabic Immersion School. You CAN ALREADY avoid the public school in your neighborhood. What these Bill & Melinda Gates “Choice/Charter pushers are not letting you know is that schools will be run by NGO’s, Foundations, corps etc...to help funnel the kiddos into the global workforce to spin profits for the global economy.
The American Model was to provide an across the board liberal arts education in order to maintain a free society. The charter/privitizing model is communist in its bent toward “training” kids for a planned economy. We need the PRE-1965 model back that the globalists/Marxists turned into brainwashing centers DELIBERATELY!
You must analyze EVERY WORD they throw at you. They speak in code.

Outlawing teacher unions should be the first step. Next step is firing all of them!

I know someone who taught at one of the Gulen schools.
They are pretty much a pure scam.

I attend a Catholic church. In Pittsburgh the Catholic Church and the unions are joined together at the wrists and ankles. Likely a few other body parts too. Some of the biggest figures in local organized labor history were Catholic priests.

We all want the unions out no doubt but the strategy here is to keep piling on then get everyone desperate enough to buy their plan. Then we find out the problem of the unions was the lesser problem. I am going to start investigating the already burgeoning charters in my city to see if I can get access to their lesson plans, faculty, position, salary etc..if I cannot because they are a “charter” then I will know that this is very likely going to be the wave of the future if the corporate globalists get their way.

You’d be surprised how little the NEA affects teachers.

Businesses and nonprofits have learned how to play the system. Just like landlords who’d rather take Sec. 8 tenants and get a check from Uncle Sugar on a reliable, predictable basis.

You actually think that the NEA has any affect on teachers? It just doesn't.

The problem with public schools is almost never the teacher. The problems stem from regulations and "guidelines" from county and state administration. Remember, teachers can't get pissed off and change jobs. There is no place to go but another county school run by the same people.

You are shooting at the wrong target.

Our boards are comprised of parents who want to spend our money on their kids and teachers from other districts. Bottom line, education reform is a top 10 priority and I'm hoping Trump gets someone like Scott Walker to help his new education secretary to promote completion and school choice.
