Making a statement about a monastery at Mt Athos isn’t really a prophecy.
Believing that a nation’s strength comes from God is something that FReepers say all the time too.
But most Freepers are not president for life, like the prophet Putin. Most of them don’t control a nation state, and its nuclear weapons. Most of them believe in religious freedom, not a theocratic church controlled to fulfill the whims of Mr. Putin. That may be okay with you, but I don’t believe that is what most Christians, and especially Christian conservatives, believe. I don’t believe Freepers believe in the state running their church.

I think Trump and Putin will be pretty evenly matched, lol. Fluffy flattery can work two ways you know, and Trump is a very good practitioner of it when necessary. I think they will mutually respect each other’s strengths. It will be fascinating to watch the interactions between the two of them.

Whatever you believe Putin is or is not, here are the hard facts.
The most dangerous communists in the world right now are teaching children and young adults and controlling their minds through media.
The most dangerous physical enemy we have is Islam.
Most FReepers believe that a “war on Christmas” can actually harm Christmas or drive people away from faith.
Only 20% of practicing Christians believe the Bible and people use their freedom of religion to choose a church based on amenities, not on theology.
So, while Putin may not be perfect, he is very low on my list of things to worry about.
Ignore elhombrelibre as he is a hysterical little girl when it comes to Putin.
I for one think it is great that a Christian Leader can exist in what was an evil empire for so long. Communism dead in Russia.

Putin is a murderous thug.
Obama has killed far more. Most for Islam.
Putin has a keen sense of what a civilization is and how it perpetuates.
Obama is a community organizer bent on destruction of the civilization.
Yeah, Putin is probably an atheist or agnostic.
But the understands religion to be the foundation of the civil society...of civilization. And he promotes it.
Thereby ensuring the cultural and genetic survival of his people.
One does not observe a religion because it has created a "civilization." One observes a religion because it is objectively true. To adhere to a religion merely because it is the religion of one's ancestors/nation/civilization is a form of ancestor worship and paganism. In fact, one could be an atheist and practice one's "ancestral" religion.
This "palaeocon" civilizationism is a blight on our side of the spectrum. Non-Theists have no legitimate reason to subscribe to any ideology anywhere on the spectrum.
All the while OUR politicians endeavor the destroy our culture by destroying our religion. Making it conform with the expediencies of the state.
Ask yourself, who is doing evil now?
Ironically, chrstianity itself is not a "creation of European blood" (if its claims about its origins are true).
"Palaeos" are getting closer and closer to admitting that they don't really believe in G-d at all; they just worship their ancestors.

Yeah, the Poles, Estonians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Romanians, Georgians, Hungarians, Slovaks, Czechs, and Germans east of the Elbe have no business running their own affairs. It’s just not fair that Russia cannot, with its superior Christian values (a State Religion employed by the Reverend Putin), kick the snot out of those people. It’s nobody’s business and certainly in line with the Gospels of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
