U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Monday took to Twitter to criticize the United Nations.

“The United Nations has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time. So sad!” ...

I agree, kick them out.
I heard Sharpton once say to Richardson who used to be Ambassador to the UN, thank you. Richardson gave a party at the UN for Sparpton.
I ASK WHY?

Yes.

**...the United Nations that makes clear that both sides must act now to preserve the possibility of peace...***

I know of no more overt declaration of the radical leftwing idea of peace. Repulsive.

Into the East River!

Again, the best way to kill the UN is to share it. Invite China and Russia to both build their own UN headquarters buildings, with the idea that the UN would then spend 25 years in Beijing, and another 25 years in Moscow.

The amount of aggravation the UN causes the US would drive the Chinese bonkers, but they could not resist the temptation to brag that they hosted it. And the 25 year time limit would go far to keep them from dynamiting the building with all the occupants within.

It would be much like inviting in a zoo without walls or cages, filled with thousands of aggressive chimpanzees that like liquor, prostitutes and reckless driving, that also have diplomatic immunity.

No, that’s not right. The UN delegates are worse than that.

Not too many can buy in NYC. Would Haley be that wealthy to do so coming out of little Columbia, SC?

But in the U.S., the organization is still popular. People associate it with “world peace”, not knowing the scam involved. I can’t find if any member of Congress voted against entry into the UN, but it may be that one, two, or three did.

I’ve been looking, but I can’t find the name of a single member of Congress in 1945 who voted against U.S. entry into the UN.

Well, nearly all of Mrs. Bill’s 66 million voters and half of Trump’s 64 million almost surely have faith in the UN.

The only “potential” I see for the UN is for their building to be razed and their ambassadors be hounded, chased and kicked out of this country.

Perhaps the UN has been a left-wing scheme since day one, or perhaps not.

Whatever the original agenda was, what it has become is EXACTLY what President Trump is saying.

And he is correct.

It IS SAD.

I’m not so sure about that. Oh, for sure if you were to put people on the spot I expect most would surely agree that “the UN promotes world peace” - that is certainly what it was INTENDED to do after all, and as a ideal objective who’s going to reject that kind of mission statement? However, if you actually sat down and talked to people in an informal setting you would find that hardly anyone is satisfied with the actions of the UN. It is almost universally derided as “talking the talk but not walking the walk”.

Well you wouldn’t would you? Who’s going to vote against something like the UN in the aftermath of WW2?

Nothing lasts forever. Where is the League of Nations? If the US stopped propping up the UN with almost a quarter of its operating funds, it would collapse tout suite.

Right now it is sad and RICH - on at least $1.08 Billion in OUR MONEY.

Hopefully, after Trump takes over, it becomes sad and $1.08 Billion poorer, looking for new rentals.

All people need to hate the UN is learn about it more. They need truth and the majority of Americans would want the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US>

Actually, I am not even sure if “world peace” was the original goal: just the stated goal. The real goal may have been world domination.
