Time for Conservatives/Republicans to Unite Behind Trump
American Thinker ^ | December 16, 2016 | Lloyd Marcus

Some conservatives/Republicans are concerned about a lack of post-election unity on our side. Some are still NeverTrump. Some hope Trump will betray us so they can say “I told you so”. Some are angry that Trump won without adhering to traditional political dos and don'ts. Some dislike the fact that Trump is not ideological -- not a pure conservative.

Some on our side have suggested that we may have been better off had Hillary won. They say it would have united conservatives/Republicans to defeat her. I disagree.

Trump defeating Hillary was an extraordinary Christmas gift from God; an opportunity to put the brakes on the Left's mission to destroy every tradition and institution we hold dear that have made America great. Trump's victory also revealed that we who love America are the majority. Folks, that is priceless. Knowing that we have not lost our country to Leftist indoctrination is far more empowering than unity gained fighting a Clinton Administration.

How many times have you felt dispirited over the past eight years? You thought a majority of Americans must hate their country. You thought a majority believed the Left's lies: America was founded on bigotry and hate. The world has too little because America has too much. America deserves to be punished. Americans support Obama rolling out the red carpet for illegals. Remember your little Johnny coming home from elementary school crying his eyes out over our mean Founding Fathers and hating himself for being white?

Anyone who thinks we would have been better off if Hillary had won is a complete imbecile.

Conservative Republicans have united behind Trump. It’s the moderates and liberals and paid media whores like Kristol and Brooks that have the problem.

Three, maybe four SCOTUS appointments wiil set the progturds back to WOODROW WILSON. Gonna take another hundred years to climb out of the hole Hillary dug for them, but by no means quit digging, progturds.

Too many Cheap Labor Express Republicans in the Senate.
Mrukowsky, Rubio, Hoeven and McCain were rewarded for their vote for Gang of Eight with another term.
Corker, Hatch, Flake and Heller must be removed in 2018.
Graham and Alexander must be removed in 2020.

The democrat party is dead. A new party the "obamacrats" is forming to unify BLM, 99%er, socialists, racists, anarchists, and agitators in general.

The same was said about the Republican party after the 1964 election.

But, come 1968, not only did the GOP come roaring back, so did Richard Nixon.

Irony of ironies: Could Hillary Clinton be the new Richard Nixon?

Nahhhhhhhhh.....

It's okay to point out when Trump diverges from conservatism.

Overall, one can still be united behind all the large amount of Trump good stuff.

Globalist free traders hijacked the R party about 40 years age. They define free trade and globalism as "Conservative". I think there needs to be a discussion on just what being a "Conservative" actually means.

Trillion dollar spending on roads. And there better not be an amnesty worked out for the Dreamers.

We shall see what happens.

Trump (as did Romney) believe they can manage big government to make things better for the country. And I have no doubt that he can because he is an extraordinary talent.

The problem with big government is when lesser men like Obama get elected and make a mess of the world.

The conservative view is to have limited government. Government should be limited to their enumerated duties and not micromanage every aspect of our lives. How can we have a free country when the busybody government is so large and powerful that they basically own us?

Then you're gonna be really upset at the spending it takes to rebuild our military structure. Instead of reaping a "peace savings" Obama managed to piss it all away and keep boosting the debt.

Trump's policies will take some time for final rewards/benefits, but they will work.
