I Miss Our Sane, Calm, Empathetic, Funny President Already (LOL and barf at the same time alert)

I miss him already. Say what you like, President Barack Hussein Obama is supremely intelligent, witty, humane, reasonable, elegant, a great writer, a model father, a good husband, a decent human being. He has empathy and humor. He is sane and calm. He gave us eight years free of scandal and drama: no interns, no corruption, no jobs handed out to outrageously unqualified people (a hallmark of the George W. Bush years—remember "Heckuva job, Brownie"?). Although it's unfashionable these days to care about dignity and decorum—we're all vulgarians now, living inside a perpetual reality-TV show - Obama brought seriousness and purpose to an office that had been a kingdom of dimwittery and darkness for eight years. He acted as if knowing what you’re talking about actually mattered. And he did all this as a black man in white America, which went crazy whenever it remembered he was black - for example, when he spoke up mildly in support of a world-famous Harvard professor who was challenged for being in his own home by a local cop. Obama persisted, with grace, in the teeth of a Senate that treated him as so illegitimate that it even refused to hold hearings for his last Supreme Court nominee. To tell you the truth, I don't know how he could stand it.

Now that President Obama is preparing to step down, I’m wondering why we on the left - myself included - found it so easy to attack him for his failures and mistakes and so hard to give the man some basic credit.

I recall in early Obambi days there were photos of Obama in local post offices....waiting to see the new Trump pics.

Also federal departments have pics of the president displayed...IRS, courts, and social security offices.

A more apt title would be "Confessions of a Useful Idiot"

“A great writer” who cannot get subjects and verbs to agree in number. (When Bill Ayers isn’t his ghostwriter.)

Funny? With McDonald’s phasing out Ronald there is going to be an opening. Barry would make a great addition...

A Rorschach test consists of ambiguous images, which help detect certain neuroses and obsessions.

Obama is a test for identifying whores, like this author.

My sister-in-law believes every word in this article. She sent out a two page Christmas letter, half of which detailed how her life was over because we elected Donald Trump and Bozo wouldn’t be president any longer.

You should have given the hip boots warning too.
What a load of BS.

“Well, supremely intelligent”

Ok, a powerful engine, but poorly steered.

“. . . supremely intelligent . . .”

Just as long as he doesn’t run into an Austrian-speaking Navy corpse-man in one of the 57 states.

Yes! Exactly like a clown.

Maybe we can give him "a model father" but we really don't know. Maybe we can give him "a good husband" but we don't know. Beyond that, complete projection.

Was there another President Obama of whom I was unaware? Perhaps he was a highly regarded, particularly enlightened leader of one of the more stable African nations?

Because whoever it is that the author of this piece is talking about, it certainly isn’t anyone I know.

"...He pulled the economy from the brink of disaster..."

...and let Democratic car salesmen keep their agencies, wasted cars and money and destroyed the used car market with his ill conceived Cash for Clunkers.....his two women appointments to the Supreme Court are Socialists who circumvent Constitutional law.....the list of his tax-dollar waste is really long....

Yes he looks well in his Brooks Brothers suits and keeps a slim profile etc., .....however his abuse of our Constitution is criminal imho....Obama is a Socialist with a dislike for America which seems to be the vogue for teachers and professors....

Nothing written here shows a leader for all or kept America strong, educated, prosperous, and a proud nation.

As written, your Obama barely exists.

The author apparently fears the hairbrush. What, it would further disrupt what passes for a brain for her? What Bo leaves on the White House lawn has more brains than this pathetic fawning libtard.

"Whenever he goes off script he shows his stupidity . . . "

The longest brain-freeze I ever saw from a politician was Barack Obama's rambling, stammering response to a question at a town hall during the 2008 campaign. It went on for about 30-40 seconds. I think it's still on YouTube.
