Yep, $800k is nuts for a round. Don't have the reference but read in the last day or two that a substitute round will be used. Apparently, the Army's 155mm Excalibur round will fire from the Zumwalt’s guns. This Army $70k round has 30
mile range instead of the 60 mile of the Navy round but has laser terminal guidance capability which the Navy does not. So, the Army round is more versatile but it requires the Zumwalt to be closer to targets at increased risk.

I looked at the photos in the link. The ship has at least one large rust stain midships on the starboard side.
That Chinese steel isn’t what it once was.

“”Come back for a visit - no longer a toll bridge””
You’re kidding! It was paid for and now it’s no longer toll?? I loved that bridge and the ones in the Bay Area. Just something about bridges that is awesome..
I would love to go back there...my husband spent all his summers there as a young kid with his dad before the military (mid fifties) and the rest of the year in Lynwood with his mom...no comparison, I know!!! Used to be a nice city, I hear. But San Diego can’t be beat IMO.

Not sure the reason, but I had a friend staying in Coronado, a couple years ago, and was most pleasantly surprised.
San Diego is a wonderful city. I have friends that tell me Lynwood was once a nice place; before I ever passed through.
All the best !
