Officials for President-elect Donald Trump said 16-year-old singer Jackie Evancho, a former “America’s Got Talent” contestant, will perform the national anthem at the January inauguration ceremony.
Boris Epshteyn, a Trump aide, wrote Wednesday on Twitter, “Honored to have @jackieevancho performing the national anthem at the @TrumpInaugural Ceremony.”

Even if you know nothing about opera or even less about history, all it takes is to hear her sing for a good ten seconds. Try it, you’ll like it!
I was hoping Donald could get her, but I couldn’t recall her name. Luckily, she has not yet tied her fortunes securely to one political party over another. She’s still a kid.
I remember when she first appeared on America’s Got Talent when she was 10 years old, BEAUTIFUL voice..sings like an angel..she is the perfect choice can’t wait to hear her sing

Looks like a sweet kid but I cringe when I hear her. She is trashing her voice by singing music not meant for children to sing.

Seeing on twitter that her sister is a tranny so the left is fairly pleased with this choice as well.
Can you explain what you mean to a non-singer like me?
Are you saying in order to produce the full octave range with the power that she does, one would damage or quickly wear out the voice, the lungs, and the diaphragm?
I recall the late Florence Henderson was rumored to have had ribs removed as a young girl because this would help her singing. I don’t know if that was just an urban myth or what.

Your singing expert weighing in: She’s nearly flawless, even at ten. The placement is a bit dark, but that’s one of the easiest things to fix if she wants to, and is a style choice that does no damage. One just can’t sing pop, country, or rock that way.
