You have nothing but my sympathies in dealing with this kind of trouble.
Politics has a common problem in many countries. Politicians when elected do not deliver what they promised, but since none of them do, the people chafe but put up with it.
And then every once in a blue moon, the people of a country will be humbled and driven to their knees before God, because the politicians are so bad. They pray. They see a deliverance.
This is how the USA got Donald Trump.
Canada is more cool to faith than the USA is. In some areas it’s almost all agnostic and atheist. The “redneck” USA never grew quite that cold. Anyhow, if people won’t worship God, the question of worship doesn’t go away. It just gets focused on other things, some of them quite silly.
Americans don’t like political correctness and being made to feel guilty about American privilege.
We rejected that outright last month.
Thank you.
I try and console myself that there IS always the next election, or if things get TOO outrageous, perhaps the opposition parties might go the route of a vote of no-confidence, like what happened in 1979.
