They won’t because NC is the California of the South. I am so glad to have gotten out of that high-tax state. Everywhere you looked in my old neighborhood, there were immigrants from the Slave States like NY, NJ, MD, CT, etc., and as soon as they got to NC, they started voting like Democrats do.
That is crap. Walker would do a great job at Labor but the GOP’s success in Wisconsin shows how valuable he is in that state. He has smacked the Unions in Wisconsin around like Mo hits Larry.

The headquarters of CKE have announced that they will be closing the location in Carpinteria & moving that operation to TENNESSEE.
They cited the fact that it was taking over 12 months to open a new outlet almost anywhere in Calif. They said they will expand into more midwestern & eastern states.
The made it clear the atmosphere for business in California is choking them.

It’s always interesting to hear people from no income tax states brag on how cheap their respective states are, but then you look at all the other various and sundry taxes and fees, and come to realize that a state government is going to get it’s pound of flesh somehow.
In Texas, it’s New Jersey level property tax rates. In Washington, you absolutely get nailed registering a car. And, so on. I pay a state sales tax in NC and I pay income tax. However, my property tax on a 3 bedroom, two bath 1,600 square foot house on over an acre is about $750. Vehicles are very cheap to register and tax is minimal. What about your current state of residence?

I want a friendly robot order taker who doesn’t say, after every item I ask for over the speaker: “Anything else? Is that it? Is that all? Anything more?” etc.
I’ve been tempted to call owners, not the manager, and say, “Did you know your employees are giving your customers the` `bums rush’? You don’t want to sell this drek?”
I’ve started saying, “I’m done ordering when I stop talking.”
Of course a robot might become self-aware and electrocute me.

Using your phone with a food ap and a pay ap means you enter the order on your phone, it gets placed at the correct outlet based on your location and when you pick it up, the pay ap pays the vendor.
If I had a dollar for every Hardee’s hamburger I ate when I was growing up in North Carolina I would probably be rich. Hardee’s is still my favorite hamburger joint and they have damn good chicken too!

Yes, we get nailed by property taxes in Texas. But they get to build multi million dollar football stadiums for the chilren.
Yes that burns pretty bad to see public money wasted on football stadiums.
McKinney and Plano have 100 million $ stadiums, but they need better.
Taxes keep getting raised. There will be a breaking point somewhere.
I actually like Texas, but have been very put off by the property taxes there.
Foot ball stadiums are not for children but for fans.

Remember Roy Rogers restaurants? Hardee’s bought them and kept their fried chicken on the menu, which was very good, for years. They’d do well to bring it back unchanged, in my opinion. Fits their target demographic, unconcerned about calories.
Carl’s Jr. bought Hardee’s a few years ago, but all the restaurants remain distinct. I live in Wa State now and Carl’s Jr are everywhere. they’re much more expensive than Hardee’s and the food to me is no where as good. And you can’t buy whole pieces of chicken at Carl’s the way you can at Hardee’s. Hardee’s also has hotdogs and Carl’s Jr. doesn’t.
