Republican leaders managed to derail a measure to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen on Tuesday, sending the debate back to a committee for more study, where it will die when the Congress adjourns at the end of this year.
Conservatives had pushed for impeaching Mr. Koskinen, saying he cannot be allowed to get away with having misled Congress on the investigation into the IRSs tea party targeting.
But GOP leaders, eager to clean up business and shut down for the year, ahead of a busy 2017, led the push to shunt the impeachment aside. Joined by Democrats, the House voted 342-72 to send the debate back to the Judiciary Committee.

They just don’t learn. Unbelievable.
They are just not going to do what is right.
Too much time would be wasted on an impeachment. He’s a political appointee, and Trump can and likely will toss him.
ALL of them have been complicit in the Fraud’s crimes against America.
GOP establishment gives conservatives the middle finger.
Predictable.
I’d like to see the man go, but I read this a bit differently. I think the House is deferring to PE Trump. Let him take the action somehow within the executive rather than get into drama that’s all about optics with the press and the Dems. Trump is going to turn the IRS into a reputable bureaucracy, I have every faith.
Of course they did. The swamp will be drained of Dems AND Repukes
Agreed...They should have impeached even knowing he wouldn’t be found guilty in the senate,. Koskinen is a thug.
Wimps. Not surprising though. Congress has a WHOLE LOTTA spending they want to push through the Lame Duck session.
UnAmerican jerks.
Throw him in jail.
They don’t give a care how bad the democrats crap on them, I promise if a republican was to do something like that they would vote with the democrats to impeach
Forget impeachment. Right now they are all playing bowling for pardons. DOJ investigation will be easier and not require congress.
Just damn! :-(
Maybe they did this, so Obama couldn’t pardon him before leaving office.
....$#+-&@) morons
Our rino goper uniparty leadership. Still needing the purging.
Business as usual. What do you expect when the same leadership is repeatedly elected. Remember the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We will not different results until the leadership is changed and people like McCain. Ryan, McConnell, McCarthy etc are removed from office. The Republicans in Congress will cause more problems for Trump than will the Democrats.
