Students at California Polytechnic University can now fulfill certain core requirements by completing a course that examines the “social construction of whiteness.”
A course catalog for the school’s Ethnic Studies Department, where the class is taught, even notes that the 4-credit course fulfills “GE Area D5,” an abbreviation for Cal Poly’s “Society and the Individual” core area of study.

Technically, we could quibble. White is a western European subset of Caucasian. I work with a lot of tan Caucasians now. They are from India.

If I were teaching this course, the “construction of whiteness” would emphasize inventions and development of every technichal and medical advance made or done by white people.
The final exam would consist of the class foregoing the use of anything invented or developed by white men for one full week, and then writing an essay on the experience.

Obviously, this course is offered in the “non-academic”, e.g., non-STEM portion of the college.

By sustenance I suspect you mean that in addition to being responsible for modern farming and irrigation techniques, sustenance also includes modern manufacturing, electricity, medicine, transportation, airplanes, computers, telephones, satellites and just about everything else that makes modern life possible.
