You would have to negate existing contracts between private citizens. That is more wrong then forcing them into a contract to begin with.
Medicare was designed, enacted, and funded to provide healthcare for people 65 and over. You cannot legally just add anyone to it.

LOL. So based on what you are claiming, Congress cannot do what the Constitution says it can. Cracks me up.
Obamacare is evil. It’s “wrong” to allow it to continue to exist. As I stated earlier, contracts are renegotiated daily. Have a nice day. Peace :)
Our former private system was working fine. Poor folks had the option of state Medicaid. Decades ago, congress passed what was known as Hill-Burton legislation that said, in effect, any American hospital that received federal funds of any kind would be available to take in the poor and those without insurance.
You may have missed the point. The earliest congress will have an effect on existing contracts is 2019. 2017 contracts will be in place by year end. 2018 contracts are being established now and will be completed by mid 2017. If congress passes a new law on January 21, 2017 it would take time for insurance companies to design new products, get approval, train salespeople , give consumers time to select policies. In addition policies sold to employees would have extra time
McConnell is lying. There are already several bills written that could replace ObamaCare in a flash. Just bring them up on January 23rd and pass them. Or, if they are revenue bills, bring them up in the House and pass them first, then over to the Senate.
And his wife just got a cushy appointment by DJT. Still trying to figure out that one. He always has a plan, but what is it? It seems that MM will continue to be a thorn in the flesh.
"Working fine" is a relative term. Let's say that it was working better than it is now. And better than it would under any government program.

In the long run I don't think we can count on our politicians to save us from ourselves.
When a Democrat controlled House and Senate passed Ocare there were only about 20-30 million people who did not have insurance coverage. All our system needed was a patch which the Republicans should have taken care of in the 90’s. They just never bothered to do it.
Fast forward to 2016. In the past 8 years the GOP has had time to come up with a plan. Actually Tom Price has had a good plan on the table for years. Its not that there aren’t answers to the problem the GOP leadership IMO just won’t tackle the problem. They are simply not engaged.
Which also relies on subsidies for people to pay for their insurance. Unlike Obamacare his solution has no salary caps. So if the government is paying for people's healthcare insurance then where is the incentive for the companies to control the cost?
Just cancel the tax penalty for not having insurance.

I love how people can “get used to” having no jobs, no houses, third world blood suckers invading their schools and neighborhoods but government programs that virtually give them CRUMBS, if that—they can’t live without them.

I agree with you 100%, but there will be a replacement and it won't happen overnight.
