Aleppo Siege: Syria Rebels Lose 60% of Territory

Close to two-thirds of rebel-held areas of east Aleppo have now fallen to the Syrian government after another district was seized.

A UK-based monitor said the Tariq al-Bab district fell on Friday, opening up a link between government-held areas and Aleppo's airport. Swathes of east Aleppo held by rebels have been seized by government troops and militiamen in the past three weeks.

Some 250,000 people remain trapped in besieged areas of the city. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced. The United Nations this week said conditions in east Aleppo were now so dire that medical operations were being conducted without anaesthetics.

This would solve the problem real quick. Bashir needs to do what his dad did in Hama to the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood.

“The United Nations this week said conditions in east Aleppo were now so dire that medical operations were being conducted without anaesthetics.”

Then go to west Aleppo? I am seeing no stories of people being forced to stay in the rebel areas. They should go to the government side and safety. I have also seen the civilians flee along with rebels as they get away from government advances.
That makes them enemy forces IMO.

McCain, Graham and Rubio are deeply saddened for the jihadis they helped arm.

There seem to be three forces among the Syrian people. The strongest is Assad’s government. Second is ISIS. The weakest is everyone else. Barack Hussein chose to back a subgroup within that third group. That’s about as sensible as betting on the World Series between the Cubs and the Indians, bet putting your money on the Minnesota Twins with their 59-103 record, when you know they’re not in the game.

I wish conservatives would stop referencing the "red line" crap. Unless they were/are in favor of the jihadists toppling the Syrian government and taking over. The red line was a Gulf of Tonkin ruse meant to give an excuse for directly attacking and overthrowing the Syrian government instead of using the current proxy jihad war. The goal was to send Syria into a dysfunctional Islamic wasteland like Libya (x10). The Turks and Western intelligence agencies then created a bogus chemical attack. A lot of chemical weapons experts were quick to point out this chemical attack was totally bogus, but the neocon-controlled Western media certainly wouldn't allow such experts any ability to point this out. See: Chemical experts doubt the truth of mass gas attacks in Syria.

Alas, the goal to topple the Syrian government has been in the works for two decades (see: Wikipedia: Clean Break). Along with Iraq, Libya, Iran, et al. Hopefully this Old Testament constant slaughter and warfare will end and the peace of Christ prevail. It has been Christians in these lands who have suffered the greatest.

Obama’s mistake was that he *didn’t* follow through on his Red Line. He made the US look weak, incompetent and untrustworthy all in one fell swoop.

The level of chaos in Libya today is utterly insignificant compared to that in Syria. Obama had a chance to end this. He more to the point had an obligation to end this. And he failed. When the book is written on his presidency, I honestly think of all of his foreign policy decisions, that one will be viewed as among the worst, up there with his “give Iran a bunch of money” policy.

Follow through and attack Assad and Syrian government forces fighting against jihadis seeking to turn Syria into a Islamist hellhole?? The US, Gulfies, Western European powers and Israel have been backing the Islamists. Sorry, I side with the Christians. Especially the Christians of Syria who support a secular Assad government overwhelmingly.

The Syriac Military Council (Christian) fights Assad, as well as ISIS, alongside the Kurds, who are also pro-US, anti-Jihadi, and anti-Assad. The Syriac Security Office as well.

Assad is an ally of Iran. Are you a fan of Iran? Iran and Hezbollah are basically Assad’s ground forces right now.

We don’t abandon the Kurds and their Christian allies to be slaughtered. That’s not who we are as a country. Obama sat by and watched them get killed for years while ISIS grew, before finally stepping in. It was shameful. That’s not the sort of America that I know. The Kurds are the good guys - they fight jihadis and tyrants in all forms. And there are Christians and moderate Arabs who fight at their side.

Should I bother to mention that Israel is also bombing inside Syria at fairly regular intervals? They’re not stupid. They see Hezbollah being armed by Assad and they know how dangerous that is. I hope you know how dangerous that is as well.

America's FIRST Pro-Muslim President disagrees.

It is very important for Islam to expand for governments like Libya, Egypt, Iraq and Syria to fall so that Muslims can then take over.

Hussein Obama was arming Muslim terrorists in Libya just like he is arming Muslim terrorists in Syria. As an added bonus in Syria, Hussein was trying to pit the US against the Russians. Imagine, millions of westerners could be killed in conflict and then Muslims could be brought in to takeover both countries in Islam.

Islam is to dominate the world and Hussein Obama is working hard to make that happen!

Ok, we're gonna have to agree to disagree. Christians in Syria are almost exclusively backing Assad and the Syrian government. Kurds are strategically neither friend nor foe of Assad and SAA. Kurds have never sided with jihadis and in some cases (Aleppo) have with SAA.

Yeah, I'm definitely not simpatico with what Israel seeks. Israel has aided jihadis and ISIS and Israeli intelligence Chief, Major General Herzi Halevy, said openly that he prefers ISIS to the Assad government.
