Yes, you can blame millennials in Pa. and elsewhere for Clinton's loss

Hillary Clinton's campaign has lots of excuses for losing. There's the electoral college, James Comey, the media's alleged over-exuberance in digging into Clinton's email server, etc. But Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said Thursday that one particular group is especially to blame: millennials.

As Karen Tumulty and Philip Rucker reported from the big election postmortem at Harvard on Thursday night:

Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook also acknowledged that her operation had made a number of mistakes and miscalculations, while being buffeted by what he repeatedly described as a "headwind" of being an establishment candidate in a season where voters were anxious for change.

He noted, for example, that younger voters, perhaps assuming that Clinton was going to win, migrated to third-party candidates in the final days of the race.

Where the campaign needed to win upward of 60 percent of young voters, it was able to garner something "in the high 50s at the end of the day," Mook said. "That's why we lost."

Best Election Ever

Funny to see Mook around, I thought he was on suicide watch...

Many of the millennials who were sold on Trump’s deal kept it close to the vest, and fooled even the pollsters.

This is pure poetry to me. I never get sick of saying that Heaven wrote it, even though people might get sick of me saying it.

Trump’s message wasn’t just words. It had a spirit, or Spirit, in it.

Hillary blames every one but herself for her loss.

She was a terrible, unattractive candidate. Even liberals couldn’t stand her.

Lots of reasons Hillary lost but the main one is no one was enthusiastic about her.

A normal Democrat could have won it in a walk. Not the smartest woman in the world.

Yeah, and maybe those young people, after seeing what a robust economy actually looks like, won’t be such complete imbeciles in the future, and the Democrat cohort will drop by 20 points amongst their generation.

Well Mr. Robby Mook, you failed. Why didn’t you recognize and compensate for these problems? If you and liberals are so brilliant so knowledgeable , and liberalism is so clearly superior as a political ideology, why didn’t you guys win the election????

She should join Canada’s Kim Campbell in well-deserved obscurity.

How badly do you have to bungle to lose? Not much.

Why should millennials have supported Hillary?

- The Clinton campaign, the DNC and the media cheated Bernie. - Hillary has been on the take from Wall Street for years.
- Hillary has a proven record of being a warmonger.
- And would Hillary create jobs so that they could move out of their parent’s basements?

Pride goes before a fall, and the Democrats were only doing what is characteristic of them now by putting up Hillary.

What was the origin of the term “Yellow Dog Democrat”? Wasn’t it Democrats who were so lockstep with the party for party’s sake, that they would vote for a yellow dog if it were on the ballot with a (D)?

Hillary was that yellow dog. I could expand on metaphorical implications, but won’t, because my point isn’t to hammer on Hillary for how bad she was. It’s to point out what fools the Democrats were for picking her, and it was out of their own pride.

Maybe after quite a long time, when they are humbled enough, they may come back to be an effective political force; but they will have to put out an objectively better showing than Donald Trump. That is going to be a high, high hurdle. Libertarians might come back first and beat the Democrats. Notice that it is the Greens not the Libertarians who are playing the frenemy game with the Democrats.

Yes, Remember watching comments from one of Trump’s millennial/college outreach people saying that frequently students would sidle up to them at the end of their rallies saying they were with Trump, just had to keep it quiet.

God just hates Hillary. Of course there was divine intervention.

Trump may be an imperfect instrument, but hey, he was available for the job and he fit the profile for the task at hand.

Mook is damaged goods and he knows it. The buffoon is trying to salvage his career and reputation. He had an election that was already rigged and still lost. Nobody, including candidates running for local dog catcher, will ever hire this idiot to run their campaigns.

Hilary never once discussed the economy and jobs the entire time between the Democratic Convention and the general election.

Incredible but true.

Remember late in the summer when the HRC campaign said they were going to stop running ads in VA and CO because they were so far ahead? I think this was in August. I thought they were playing mind games/bluffing. What politician thinks he/she can coast for 3 months? Apparently, they really did believe it. The arrogance is staggering. Ultimately, they did win those states, but they also ignored “the blue wall” until it was too late. Real life example of the tortoise and the hare.
