A Beltway lobbying firm with close connections to Hillary Clinton has acknowledged that it failed to disclose work it did for the Indian government in 2014 and 2015. The Podesta Group disclosed the lobbying activities in an amended filing submitted to the Justice Department earlier this month, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Monday.

The documents lists five separate contacts that Podesta Group chairman Tony Podesta, a prolific Hillary Clinton campaign donor, made with his brother and former business partner, John Podesta, to discuss U.S.-India relations in 2014 and 2015. During that period, John Podesta, who co-founded the Podesta Group with Tony in 1988, served as White House counselor and then as Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.

The Podesta Group’s failure to disclose the lobbying was an apparent violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

HE PODESTA GROUP AND THE CLINTONS COULD ALSO BE PROSECUTED UNDER THESE CONDITIONS--A provision in the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is intended to prevent the govt from co-opting United States citizens and companies.

Significantly, EAR proscribes using US citizens as instrumentalities to advance a foreign government's foreign policy. This clearly describe the State Dept activities under Hillary. As a tax-paid govt employee, Hillary clearly used her tax-paid office for purely personal/political reasons.......involving the interests of foreign countries.......particularly foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation.

CONCLUSION--The Export Administration Regulations (EAR) apply to all "U.S. persons" (defined to include individuals and companies located in the United States and their foreign affiliates).

The provisions are intended to prevent United States citizens and companies being used as instrumentalities of a foreign government's foreign policy.

Offending persons are subject to the EAR law when their activities relate to the sale, purchase, or transfer of goods or services (including the sale of information) within the United States or between the United States and a foreign country.

This covers exports and imports, financing, forwarding and shipping, and certain other transactions that may take place wholly offshore.....and/or across the borders with private donors to the Clinton Foundation in exchange for influence on U.S. policy.

The Hobbs Act 18 U.S. Code § 1951, passed in 1946, is a federal law that prohibits robbery or extortion, or attempted robbery or extortion, that affects interstate or foreign commerce.

The Act originally was designed to target racketeering in labor-management disputes that were common at the time.

More recently it has been used to prosecute and jail politicans involved in graft and corruption b/c this is seen as impairing interstate and foreign commerce.
