Kellogg’s Stock Drops Another 1.44% at End of Thursday Trading

Kellogg’s shares (NYSE: K) dropped 1.44% on Thursday, the day after accusations of child labor exploitation and the launch of Breitbart News’ #DumpKelloggs campaign brought the snack company’s value down 2%.

Kellogg’s stock fell $1.04 to close at $70.96 per share. The combined two-day drop has been $2.66 per share, down 3.6% from $73.62 at the start of Wednesday trading.

Kellogg’s announced this week that it would pull advertisements from Breitbart News. The company fired back on Wednesday:

Kellogg Co. announced on Tuesday its decision to pull ads from conservative media giant Breitbart.com because its 45,000,000 monthly conservative readers are not “aligned with our values as a company.” In response, Breitbart News, one of the world’s top news publishers, has launched a #DumpKelloggs petition and called for a boycott of the ubiquitous food manufacturer.

Refined sugar, GMO grains, ... their food is poison, IMO.

Good riddance.

As with Tennessee Nana I, too, went food shopping today, and, while it's a small act, chose not to purchase a Kellogg cereal; also, interestingly, it was Raisin Brand.

As Nana observes, Bland but good for me...or something.

Malt-o-Meal makes equivalent and in many cases superior and less expensive alternatives to Kelloggs cereals. Walmart carries those also. They are in bags.

GrubHug, Pepsi, Kelloggs.

We are going to wind up living like the Amish with all the things we need to boycott.

I’ve given up Pepsi, Kelloggs and the NFL.

Their stock value doesn’t represent their values.

Exactly - they make money on the backs of Americans buying their toxic crap because it is addictive.

I, too, sent Kellogg’s a ‘love letter’, along with some others that are ‘boycotting’ them. I like the way this is moving, as Breitbart has their own means to reach their people and is playing HARD BALL on this - which must be done. A few more days of stock drops and watch Kelloggs come back with their tail between their legs.

“Kellogg Foundation Provided Nearly $1 Million to Support Black Lives Matter”

So they’re financing the SHOOTING OF COPS...or, to be more precise, they are financing the group that has been inspiring the SHOOTING OF COPS.

Great company for us to support...LOL.

The sweet (unfattenly sweet) thing about this is that Breitbart isn’t just heading up a boycott...they’re digging up dirt on Kelloggs. BB is going all scorched earth.

Payback time.

The products sold by Kellogg and PepsiCo are consumed to a large extent by the deplorables in flyover country. In a marketplace where cereal and soda have been in a long term decline, it is the height of foolishness to alienate a portion of the market.
