Jerry Brown nominated Xavier Becerra to be California's next attorney general, the longtime U.S. lawmaker warned the Trump administration to expect a fight if newly emboldened Republicans challenge the Golden State's liberal laws and policies. "If you want to take on a forward-leaning state that is prepared to defend its rights and interests, come at us," Becerra, a 12-term Democratic congressman from Los Angeles, told reporters

Becerra’s congressional district was created by population growth in California. It was population growth through illegal immigration. Becerra’s district is mostly illegal aliens.

Not that much. Many businesses are leaving CA and a lot of the economy numbers are inflated or outright lies. CA also has one of the highest unempolyment rates.
Its sad, I grew up in So Cal and loved it. I remember when CA was a lot less liberal when I was growing up, then the illegals started coming in droves and voting. The older conseratives died off leaving the gays and the baby boomer libs.
Xavier Becera is going to come out bruised and bloodied before he knows what happened to him. If he thinks for one minute that the Trump administration is going to put up with him and his master, Jerry Brown, he is delusional. When millions and millions of dollars get cut off from California, they will be singing a far different tune.
As for those sanctuary city mayors, when Federal law enforcement officers are sent into their cities to arrest criminal illegal aliens, they will crawl back into their caves.
