Grow some spine, Liberals. Democracy needs champions, not apologists

It has been so delightfully amusing, taking in all the mockery and wickedness that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau brought upon himself by having keened so plaintively last weekend upon hearing the news of the death of that gruesome old Cuban caudillo Fidel Castro. We’ve all had a good laugh. We should also strive to be fair.

First, as wildly ill-advised as they were, nothing in Trudeau’s dolorous condolences would have been out of place had they been uttered at any gathering of fashionable society in Canada. Secondly, the Castros and the Trudeaus have been chummy for decades, so the dabbing of a hankie at the corner of one’s eye is considered practically de rigueur in these circumstances. Thirdly, Trudeau has quite sensibly declined his invitation to attend Castro’s state funeral next Sunday. Full marks for that.

The real meat of the article is in the much lengthier bulk of the article tha I was obliged to removeto satisfy "excerpt" requirement.

BTW: I never voted for Trudeau the Elder's party and I expect never to vote for Trudeau the Younger's party.

I was and am unalterably opposed to both..

While I was never a fan ot Trudeau the Elder, he was a lot smarter and had more smarts and substance than his son.

Here is the statement (total garbage) by Trudeau the Younger that is referred to in the article:

Antananarivo, Madagascar - November 26, 2016

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the death of former Cuban President Fidel Castro:

“It is with deep sorrow that I learned today of the death of Cuba’s longest serving President.

“Fidel Castro was a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century. A legendary revolutionary and orator, Mr. Castro made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his island nation.

“While a controversial figure, both Mr. Castro’s supporters and detractors recognized his tremendous dedication and love for the Cuban people who had a deep and lasting affection for “el Comandante”.

“I know my father was very proud to call him a friend and I had the opportunity to meet Fidel when my father passed away. It was also a real honour to meet his three sons and his brother President Raúl Castro during my recent visit to Cuba.

“On behalf of all Canadians, Sophie and I offer our deepest condolences to the family, friends and many, many supporters of Mr. Castro. We join the people of Cuba today in mourning the loss of this remarkable leader.”

Have to agree with you there. Watching the son I can't help thinking that you've all elected Beaver Cleaver.

Champions? Yes, that is the problem. With the 0bamas and Clintons banished to the dustbin of history, the Dhimmicrats are left with Scum Schumer, Fauxcahontas and Commie Saunders.

Good luck improving the Dhimmicrat brand with that group of gangsters.

Meanwhile, Trump trolls the Commiefascists and they run out and burn American flags. Yeah, that will win back Middle America.

As I’ve often said, Bébé Turd-owe inherited his mother’s intelligence and his father’s arrogance. If the traits inherited were reversed, we’d have a much more capable PM.
