Absolutely. I don’t know who in their right mind would want to be a LE officer on the street in Chicago, the way they are being demoralised.
This has been going on for 30 years. It started in Chicago when the projects became home to national gangs. The gangs still live quite well in the black neighborhoods where they run things like the mafia of old. Each black neighborhood is a gang and a drug distribution territory. Its also an internal police department that applies law and order according to their own rules.
But, hey, they’re a safe are for Illegals.

Chicago is about to go bankrupt; I wonder if the plan includes how to pay for these new police positions.

At some point at that rate you would figure that the gangs should have effectively killed each other off.

Wait until Chicago becomes a primary sanctuary city in the Midwest and herds of illegals flock into Chicago for sanctuary.
Then, we will see La Raza thugs, BLM thugs and Muslim Jihadist thugs fighting and killing each other for the dwindling free benefits after Trump cuts off federal funding to rat Sanctuary cities.
Somalis will attack university snowflakes with their old cars and butcher knives in the sanctuary cities.
Chicago and other sanctuary cities will soon look like Aleppo, Syria or Mosul, Iraq.
By Easter, the mayors of the sanctuary cities, if they haven’t been lynched by their own elites, will be rounding up illegals and sending them to Mexico or South America on their own.
They breed even faster than they kill.
But that’s OK. The left is not upset over it, and won’t be, unless they can find a way to pin it all on Trump.
