Montco Jude rejects presidential vote recount request

A Montgomery County Court judge rejected a petition Wednesday to recanvass votes in some of the county's precincts, turning down a request by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein's campaign, which is seeking a recount of votes in Pennsylvania.

Judge Bernard A. Moore dismissed the petitions for recounts in 72 of the 425 precincts at the end of a brief hearing Wednesday afternoon, offering no reason for his ruling.

The petitions were part of an effort by Stein's campaign to seek a statewide recount. The campaign filed a petition in Commonwealth Court that is scheduled for consideration Monday. Voters also have filed petitions seeking recounts in counties around the state.

This only stops the recount in Philly. The statewide court hearing is Monday.

I find it interesting that the judge offered no explanation of his ruling. I have to wonder if that’s something of an insult. Something like “I don’t feel a need to explain myself to people too stupid to see that this lawsuit was DOA.”

The Filthydelphia vote totals should be completely thrown out anyway, due to guaranteed fraud.

“Montco Jude” would be an excellent name for a rock band.

There’s over 3,000 precincts statewide. Only a handful got petitions submitted for a recount. There will be no statewide recount. One article described so-called petitioners leaving when they would not provide the required $150 fee for each of them.

Does that not depend on the court hearing Monday?

I don’t see the ruling in Harrisburg being any different than this one. I expect the hearing in MI tomorrow will have another bad result for Ill Jill!!

Oh my, what will Jill do with all that money she raised...hmmm...oh yeah, they will go towards ‘election integrity efforts’.

IOW, Stein has found a way to get HRC supporters to fund her and her staff’s payroll until the next election season.

There’s a lot of articles discussing the intricacies of a Pennsylvania recount. Stein missed the deadline for a statewide recount. Her lawyer complained about the complicated process in the hearing before the Montgomery County judge. It is what it is as far as the laws governing recounts.

Stein either complies or the recount doesn’t happen. She would have needed 27,000 petitioners, three in each precinct to get a complete recount. She didn’t come close. I still doubt she has standing given the few votes she got. Johnson and Stein killed Clinton’s shot at the presidency.

Montco Jude? A rap-performing person, perhaps? No, there are no non-alphanumeric characters ... probably a jazz artist.
