On the other hand - these young people, whose only awareness of the world around them has been shaped by government indoctrination centers of public education and leftist academia, will get a dose of the real world and realize over the next few election cycles that socialist ideology only works in fairy tales, and they will move to the right once that reality sets in.

My son turned 18 just in time to vote, which he did. Since he practically lives in his MAGA hat, I doubt his voting helped Hillary.
Hussein in this rare instance is right. I saw a map of millennial vote. Trump only carried about eight states.
OTOH, if only MEN voted, Trump would have carried about 36 states.
They graduate as flounders and just ... flounder around for a while until they marry, go to prison or figure it out, all of which takes a lot of time.
The American public education system is just that, kids are educated to be public servants .... not Americans with a compass.

She will have other hungry Democrats who want their turn running against her in the primaries. She’ll never make it past that. Maybe even another woman will challenge her. Hillary needs to face facts that she’s done. Stick a fork in her.
Wrong. You blew your chance. We now have 16 years for them to grow up and develop normal thinking before they have any opportunity to change anything for the "better". In the meantime, behind them is Gen Z and they already seem to have a head start on more conservative values.
A lot of young people did turn out to vote in the dem primaries. To vote for Bernie Sanders.
However, Clinton, Wasserman and the rest of the filthy DNC rigged the primaries against Bernie supporters,and so many of them didn’t bother to vote in the general election.
Apparently a lot of blacks stayed home too as they are also sick of being taken for granted by the filthy dems.
It seems everyday Obama has a different excuse for his humiliating repudiation. He is in denial if he doesn’t connect the collapse of the dem party over the last 8 years with us own crappy policies and divisive rhetoric.

What President Odumbo doesn’t realize is that many of these young voters will actually grow UP, which means they will mature into logical, thinking, and thereby, conservative adults.
Hopefully, many of them have seen the folly of just growing OLD, and becoming a bitter, Liberal, leftist who demands that all of America rejoice in failed utopian dreams!
In other words, many of these young people haven’t been mugged yet (by criminals or the government (but I repeat myself))!!!

I will make a prediction for you.
IF the Dems ever get control of both houses and POTUS again (Dear God, Please, NO!!!) they will cram through a law REQUIRING people to show PROOF of HAVING VOTED in order to receive welfare or student aid.
Take that one to the bank!
