I agree it was a bit of hyperbole there. Still I want Erdogan’s head on a spike and Assad left in power.

The Turks ran the Ottomen Empire.

The Arab Spring stalled badly in Syria.

The crown jewel was Jordan, policing the Temple Mount and much of Jerusalem. Jordan’s pro western government was suppose to be toppled by now. (Operation maximum chaos.)

Turkey was suppose to pick up the pieces as the only “moderate” country that might...and historically has...ruled all these crazies. Caliphate restored under Turkish rule.

That was the plan.
