Don’t speak to me about NATO. 75% of them would dump the Turk like a hot potato because of their involvement is sponsoring terrorism. I hope Trump exposes them and drives them out of NATO then teams up with Putin to effect regime change.

Here is a little reality check about NATO. It is nothing more than a paper tiger:

I don’t think NATO covers invasions by members.

Not sure how accurate this article is but speaks to an agreement between Turkey and Russia to not molest each other during these operations.

I put no faith in that agreement. Putin is like Michael Corleone in the Godfather. Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer. He is setting up Erdogan for the kill.

THAT is why the Russians want Crimea. It is perfect for launching missiles at Turkey.

As I asked in response to another article, why do the Turks get a pass when they invade another sovereign nation when that was the whole rationale for the first Iraq war?

The Turks need to be kicked out of NATO for invading another sovereign nation and then told they'll be met with force if they're not out in two weeks. And that generous, IMHo.

Are you confused as to who is setting up whom? The globalists are forcing the Russians into a global war before the BRICS nations become strong enough to fully create their own economic block outside of the Anglo-American financial empire....(Turkey is doing the neo-con/globalist’s bidding)

The globalists are on their way out and Turkey is on a path to self immolation.

That article is specific to NATO capacity to keep Russia from overrunning the tiny Baltic states, not a more general war.

In a general war, Russia could take a lot of territory quickly, but then is in serious trouble. Italy’s navy alone would put Putin’s Black Sea Fleet on the bottom in short order, if the Black Sea Fleet ventured beyond its namesake.

Many people wonder why NATO keeps Turkey as a member: Turkey’s considerable military capacity, large landmass, and ability to hem in Russia to Russia’s southwest, in a general war, are all reasons...

I’d also add that any European country needing that Qatar-to-Turkey-to-Europe pipeline is not likely to abandon Turkey, unless Turkey directly sends terrorists to attack them. The Euros can tolerate scattered terrorist attacks. They can’t tolerate the possibility of a future where Putin shuts off the gas, sells it to China, instead, and Europe has no alternative source.

Italian Navy my a$$! Our navy will have serious problems with Russia. You read too much NATO propaganda and do not know the real NATO military readiness situation. But that is not for people like you.

NATO is in a very sorry state and so is current US military preparedness. If war happened between the US and Russia alot of you would be in for a seriously unpleasant surprise.

“If they attacked Turkish territory, yes. If they attacked Turkish units in Syria, no.”

Best reason I can think of to leave NATO.

I thought the EU was backing away from association with Turkey, and UK backing away from EU, and the whole thing being influenced by Erdogons dictatorial/Islamic intentions.

BTW that article only gives you an inkling of a much larger problem. It is designed to get people to wake up and get their heads out of their posteriors.

“Taking out the legitimately elected Assad Government.” Here is a report on the Assad government and elections.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrian_presidential_election,_2014

Of particular interest is this quote: “Attempts to hold an election (in 2014) under the circumstances of an ongoing civil war were criticized by UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon,[15] and it was widely reported that the elections lacked independent election monitoring.[16] However, an international delegation led by allies of Assad[17] from more than 30 countries including Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, India, Iran, Iraq, Nicaragua, Russia, South Africa and Venezuela[18][19] issued a statement claiming the election was “free, fair and transparent”.[20]”

I am surprised that you as a FReeper would consider any election designated as “free, fair and transparent” by Cuba,Iran, Russia, and Venezuela, among others as legitimately elected.
