Yep, the guy was a 51-year-old retired gay actor, and the German intelligence service probably didn’t have a problem with his past, and his stage name got posted somewhere probably in his application. It’s the stage name that he used for the chat-forum that got him caught.
That quote tells you everything you need to know about the effectiveness of the German "intelligence" agencies.
Homosexuality should always be a red flag when vetting someone for access to classified material, whether they are muslim or not.
