Newt Gingrich said Tuesday that President-elect Donald Trump’s biggest mistake since the election was his claiming without any evidence that millions of votes were illegally cast on Election Day.
"The president of the United States can't randomly tweet without having somebody check it out," Gingrich, a vice chair on Trump's transition team, told USA Today’s Susan Page during an appearance on the Capital Download video series. “I mean it just— It makes you wonder about whatever else he's doing. It undermines much more than a single tweet."
On Sunday, Trump falsely (sic) claimed that “millions” of people voted illegally, preventing him from winning the popular vote. A widely-shared article on the conspiracy website InfoWars, whose creator, Alex Jones, Trump has praised in the past, cited a non-existent report to make an identical bogus claim.

Although I’m a fan of both Newt and Trump, I have to say Trump is right in this case. I know a lots of green card holders have voted, which is illegal.
Gingrich is wrong on this.
But Gingrich has been one of the most outspoken against judicial activism and we should use him for that. He should head a committee that reviews misbehaving judges and prepares the case for impeachment for the Senate to consider.

How would be there be evidence of fraud?
That there is no apparent evidence of fraud does not mean there was no fraud. Before the election, we heard there were 2+ million two-location voters or voters voting under deceased names. Oh my, now we call them illegal and there’s all sorts of hell to pay. The usual story, the usual feigned outrage.
Voter ID laws preclude the very mechanism by which many illegal aliens and noncitizens would ordinarily be prevented from voting and SHOULD be prevented from voting. In other words, it is generally illegal to gather the type of evidence that would prove that illegals voted. The outrage is to attempt to goad Republicans into advocating breaking the law. Libs cannot help themselves.
Anyone who lives in CA who does not think there were minimally a million votes cast by illegals is smokin’ something that itself is illegal in a few remaining states.
The observation that libs are upset over the allegation that there was widespread fraud by illegals voting is sufficient proof all in itself as far as I’m concerned.

Gov Moonbeam sent voter registration forms to all the illegals he gave drivers licenses to.
They all used them to vote for Hillary.
That was precisely the point I made on the Washington Post thread. There is a difference between false and unproven. This has to stay in the unproven category because there has never been a definitive, impartial investigation of the issue and the Democrats would fight tooth and nail to prevent one.

Ga did it for years. as well. Many states did the motor-voter thing in the 90s, not sure how many still do it.
But once a person is a registered voter, anyone can pick up an absentee ballot for them, as I did for my wife in 6 elections. They never asked if she was still alive , just where to send the ballot.
Newt is being way too defensive. Trump certainly has enough evidence of fraud to warrant a full scale investigation and to argue that Hillary cannot claim to have won the popular vote until the investigation is completed. If voter fraud had to be quantified and proved before it could be deemed worthy of investigation, it would never be investigated.

Just this morning on Fox And Friends Newt just destroyed this Jill Stein’s recount debacle. I guess this is Newt’s way of being fair and balanced. Maybe he does this once in a while for the publicity.

There were 3 million dead people on voter lists alone. CA’s Communist governor, Moonbeam Brown, and the legislature invited the millions of illegals in CA to vote in the election by passing a law that says motor voter registrations can be used by illegals if they don’t know it was illegal to vote! CA is the state that should be checked for illegal votes.
