President Obama says both he and first lady Michelle Obama will be very active in working with people at the grass-roots level to support progressive causes once he leaves office. But despite her popularity and natural public speaking ability, Michelle isnt interested in a career in politics.
Michelle will never run for office, the president told Rolling Stone in an interview conducted the day after the election. She is as talented a person as I know. You can see the incredible resonance she has with the American people. But I joke that shes too sensible to want to be in politics.

Shouldn’t we hear this directly from Michelle?
Is he following his father’s Muslim’s beliefs that women are second class and and should be subservient to men?
Why is he telling us what she will do or not do? :)
That means she will. Guaranteed. Rep or Senator from Hawaii.
Is the pledge that Michelle will “never” run for office a promise, or is that just a negotiation ploy?
Probably too old now, to get suited up to play linebacker for the Chicago Bears. Maybe Michelle could get into sports announcing.
2024 Moochelle
Why do you think they purchased a house in California while still going to live in DC. They could have waited to buy that house. It’s not like they are billionaires. And why not pick Hawaii since he loves it there, was born there, etc.
I think she runs instead of one of the old hags....
She will likely win.
Just get the Feds out of the school system. Let them eat lettuce....
She is one lazy b****. Look at the old pics. That’s the REAL Michelle.
His lips were moving.
Maybe they can surgically connect the two Castro brothers at the hip and create a new type of minority!
(don’t know the politically correct name but I am sure our betters in academia can come up with one... :-( )
But “Michael” will.
Belch, ugh.
“I am not running for president. I am not running for president in four years. I am not running for president in 2008.” - Nov. 3, 2004
“I will serve out my six-year term. You know, Tim, if you get asked enough, sooner or later you get weary and you start looking for new ways of saying things. But my thinking has not changed. I will not. [run for president in 2008] - Nov., 2004 on “Meet the Press”
“I will not be running for president in ‘08” - Jan.3, 2005
“The day after my election to the United States Senate, somebody asked me, am I running in 2008. I said at that time: ‘No.’ And nothing so far has changed my mind.” - Aug., 26, 2006
Yeah ... as if we can believe anything this guy says.
Besides, Julian or Joaquin Castro will capture much of the southern vote, and Gavin Newsom has real executive-level political experience as San Francisco Mayor and Lt. Governor of California.
I think he means Michael.
I hope she doesn’t. She would be awful. She fires people up by being so emotional and that is essentially the main reason the Obamas got as far as they did - emotion and charisma while being totally incompetent and bad for America.
I am not talking President the first time out.
She will be running in California . Senator or Rep.
Agree that she doesn’t want to have to work for her money. And now she doesn’t have to. The book. The speaking. Much easier. Sitting around and being rich is not that taxing.
Yeah, same. Evidence? Well, she acted like a bloody queen while her husband was in office. Food mandates et al.
His lips were moving.
I hate when he does that. You know it means another lie is being manufactured.
Poor Hillary prepared her whole life to be president. All Michelle had to do was be black and plant a garden and she is instantly in the running
